otherwise, go play ace combat. How they stock up 40 missiles on one small F14, and how turning at max G's does not decrease your airspeed will forever elude my understanding.

yeah. go play ace combat. somehow in ace combat, when you're up at 30,000 feet AGL, the ground seems to move as fast as when you're at 50 feet AGL.

I am not sure I havent even upgraded to vista yet. I refuse to until they get the first service pack out! Too Buggy! I would think that Falcon 4.0 Allied Force would run in vista since it was released within the past two years.

Very Very Few F-16s if any still have a landing chute! I am an F-16 mechanic for the past 8 years and I do not know of any modern era f-16 that has a landing chute!

Geforce, i agree with ou on your first post, that the Videos, and graphics in Lock on are great. However, i think you should try falcon out before saying anything about the game(sim). What you see here where, F-16 HUD display radar coverage, is just a setting, as there are view settings in lomac. After trying them both, i would say lockons realism is a plain joke compared to falcon. Saying this, i still think lomac is way more fun, as im a bit into the airquake thing :)

Now I can tell, the game "Lock on Modern Air Combat" is way better than Falcon 4.0. Check out some of the Lock On Video and see for yourself.

Try both. You will be amazed at the level of realism.The knowledge needed to just fly Falcon 4 is tremendous. You could break someone's head with just throwing the manual at him.. And that would be the F4 (1998), the game has evolved through the years by communities with lots of a/f pilots in them. You will have to spend months practising. And no you cant fly a flight sim with arrow keys :p:p. I like Lomac too, but you cant just compare them, period. F4 + Superpack and Freefalcon are must have.

falcon 4.0 - realistic simulation? F-16 HUD display radar coverage? I don't think so. I don't suggest u guys have to agree with my opinion, but I still think Falcon is just no match with Lomac in terms of being realistic simulations let alone graphic quality.

Did you buy Falcon 4.0 or Falcon 4.0 Allied Force? You cant use them with the second (but anyway most of the "extras" of the extensions are included in Allied Force. You cant download them from sites anymore (they have been removed i believe, after Allied Force made it to the stores). You will have to search in torrents.

Oh yeah, they are both extensions to the flight sims. Firstly, allowing it to (Falcon 4 not 4 allied force) play on modern computers. Then it has alot of improvements on realism in F16, alot of new buttons,switches (you can even start the jet), plus alot of F16 versions including some of the latest (BLK52+ HAF, BLK52+ IAF, BLK60 UAE) and armory (like BLK52+ HAF being able to carry Iris-T instead of Sidewinders).

Then they have better graphics! Freefalcon i believe is better in graphics (and has implemented AIFF, thus you can check friend or foe from the aircraft) but its a bit buggy. Superfalcon focuses more on realism. I have tried both, well i'm not good enough to be able to tell the difference in realism but thats what they say.

I have Allied Force. Have had it only a couple days and am still trying to get used to it. Had bought IL2 1946 but took it back(not that good of a sim) and bought F4. The F-16 has been my favorite fighter for quite awhile, I go see the Thunderbirds whenever they come to McChord Air Force.Base.
