Two things have I required of thee; deny me them not before I die: Remove far from me vanity and lies: give me neither poverty nor riches; feed me with food convenient for me: Lest I be full, and deny thee, and say who is the LORD? or lest I be poor, and steal, and take the name of my God in vain.
While this song is about being comfortable and complacent, there is absolutely no cry in the history of music that epitomizes the cry of the lost soul better than what Martin Smith puts out @ 2:00 into the song. Or any soul-deep cry for God, for that matter. Miracle Maker has a similiar soul-deep "thank you" near the end that touches my heart everyt ime.
Save me from the kingdom of comfort where I am king to this kingdom of heaven where You are king. That pretty much sums up my life before and after becoming a follower of Jesus. So encouraging to read all the comments here and know there are others out there who believe in Him.
amazing song and such a legendary band. Incredible music and so inspiring. i saw them live at Folkestone leas cliff hall a couple of years ago and i saw them back in October if i remember rightly at Tunbridge wells absolutley (excuse my spelling) Incredible! :)
Hope they change their mind about splitting as we need good christian artists to relate to this generation and these are one of the best bands at doing what they do.
Lol, although I have to say Vicky Beeching was easily the best. I was SO disappointed when she went offstage, even more disappointed when I couldn't find any of her merchandise in the stalls :( .
it's so inspiring and im seeing them on monday in tunbridge wells for the last time EVER on there uk farewell/kingdom of comfort tour with tree 63 i can't wait tis going to be AMAZING !!!!!!!!1
ps if you like delirious check out my youtube videos i have a tribute video to them after all they are inspiring and wow what a band!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!I AM A DELIRIOUS FAN AND CHRISTIAN FOR LIFE AND PROUD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :) :D WB PEOPLE :) :D

Yeah you are right ;)
But we have to stand out as a generation for God. Just like we sing in 'Hosanna' of Hillsong United.

indeed, but do you now other groups like them nowadays? Petra stopped in 2005, Newsboys and Michael W. Smith aren't really the same like Delirious?.
Arjandeiro 3 years ago
Switchfoot, Jeremy Camp or Chris Tomlin... are in some way like them more then Newsboys and Michal W. Smith

And you have artists like Shawn McDonald and Leeland, who are quite better than the average CCM music
