Dampen the drums! Yamaha's tend to ring anyway, so you've gotta get pre damp heads (remo power max own) Black heads warp, hope you're not somplace hot, they look cool...that's about it. Neat concept though, clean it and it looks like it'll be alot of fun. As always with any line of every kind the easy stuff is the dirtiest cause you concentrate more on the hard stuff. Good luck!

my school has silvver bass drums with black yamaha heads too. were getting them changed to white Evans mx somethin bass heads cuz they sound better....way better

Evans heads are really nice. i wasn't a fan of them until i actually sat down on a set that had them on there. they are really nice...better than the remo heads i usually play.
