Youtube should be all about sharing videos and having the community comment on them. I do not believe that comments should be allowed to be disabled. If there are spam comments, they can be edited out, or maybe the username blocked, but having a healthy discussion should be permitted on all videos, especially those pertaining to religious views and similar.
Censoring should only be allowed if the comments are spam. But if the comments are an argument against a person's belief, then that person should have the balls and argue back. Don't hide behind censorship and think the debate will go away. People who do that look weak.

I think that censoring people, even comments that you don't like on your video, demonstrates a lack of confidence in your beliefs. However I do recognize the difference between censoring someone in your own house and censoring what people say in their's. I think that this is the point that you are missing, but I agree that both forms of censorship are limiting free speech and destructive to the credibility of the person doing to censoring.

TF can certainly sound horribly preachy and judgmental at times. When someone like VFX censors his comments, I don't at all feel he's done something wrong or unjust, I just cease to take him seriously (which I didn't in the first place, I guess.) I do agree that if a person wants to restrict what they are exposed to or what is permissible on their own "property" then they can go ahead. It's not immoral unless they are preventing others from being exposed to something.

The more I watch Thunderf00t, the more I realize that he's like Richard Dawkins taken to extremes. Dawkins will occasionally be rather strong in his condemnation of stupidity or immorality, but good ol' Thunderf00t is absolutely ruthless in his assault on the above.

JezuzFreek said VFX has the right to block people from his channel.

Christianity is dying! It's becoming next to nothing in Europe. And most of the Atheists I know, were brought up Christian or Catholic. Including myself. I've never met a Christian that used to be an Atheist. People are getting smarter and more educated. And soon enough they won't stand for the ancient barbaric ways of religion.
Christianity is shrinking. The only place where it seems to be taking a strong hold is the USA, where the government seems to be pushing it now. Atheism is growing quickly. I too was brought up in a Christian family. My parents gave me the ability to choose on my own. My sister and I are atheists. My parents show no religious tendencies at all now. My mother is an atheist now. My father, who was brought up in a strict Christian family doesn't follow it anymore.
Next on FOX, "When Evangelicals Collide!" If two people can't get along whose denominations are based upon the same guy's story, what hope is there for the rest of the world.

TF can certainly sound horribly preachy and judgmental at times. When someone like VFX censors his comments, I don't at all feel he's done something wrong or unjust, I just cease to take him seriously (which I didn't in the first place, I guess.) I do agree that if a person wants to restrict what they are exposed to or what is permissible on their own "property" then they can go ahead. It's not immoral unless they are preventing others from being exposed to something.

The more I watch Thunderf00t, the more I realize that he's like Richard Dawkins taken to extremes. Dawkins will occasionally be rather strong in his condemnation of stupidity or immorality, but good ol' Thunderf00t is absolutely ruthless in his assault on the above.
Though it is highly entertaining to watch, I think Dawkins has the more effective balance going.

Christianity is dying! It's becoming next to nothing in Europe. And most of the Atheists I know, were brought up Christian or Catholic. Including myself. I've never met a Christian that used to be an Atheist. People are getting smarter and more educated. And soon enough they won't stand for the ancient barbaric ways of religion.

Christianity is shrinking. The only place where it seems to be taking a strong hold is the USA, where the government seems to be pushing it now. Atheism is growing quickly. I too was brought up in a Christian family. My parents gave me the ability to choose on my own. My sister and I are atheists. My parents show no religious tendencies at all now. My mother is an atheist now. My father, who was brought up in a strict Christian family doesn't follow it anymore.
