  • This bike isn´t as good, as german magazines will tell us. Advertising is one side, racing results is the other. It´s only an attempt to build a good "full-on" sport bike. After the useless waisting of many millions of €s by the bavarian company, the italians ( Aprilia and Ducati ) and the Japs ( Kawasaki, Honda - and until last year : the extremely fast Yamahas ) still have got the edge ! BMW builds quite good touring bikes, but the racing bikes are only "second row".

  • if this thing has 20hp more than the others why doesnt it win on the track? or is this more of a sport tourer like the hayabusa, good in a straight line, dont start throwin your diapers at me im just askin

  • @cbr600rrturbo LOL!!

  • @cbr600rrturbo

On the track, the element of the driver is much more important than just the bike. So the combination of driver + bike comes into play. Whereas for an individual purchase, since the driver remains same, he/she can choose the best bike.

That is where the S1000RR shines, race specs are way off stock specs anyway....no use talking about race spec bikes when what everyone's buying is the stock spec bike.

  • @cbr600rrturbo

What track? Are you talking about a specific racing series? None of the bikes in say, WSBK are stock. All of them have been pretty heavily modified, so one can assume performance numbers will be very similar; lap times on all the bikes are very close. You seem to be ignoring the human factor. I could put you on the fastest motorcycle on the planet, and you'd still be beat by a professional on a 125cc race bike. The S1000RR is NOT a sport tourer, it's a full-on sport bike.

  • whenever i see this vid i feel like getting a bike...argghh need to rob a bank soon

  • my brothers fireblade is a bit quicker than this :P still the bmw is mentally quick!!!

  • the speedo stops at 187mph, my gps showed 193mph regularly riding my s1krr stock. after full pipe, electronics, and a -2 rear sprocket It can play in the 205+ range pretty easily.. LOVE THIS BIKE

  • It's not just going fast it sounds fucking sweet also!!!

  • @camelbreathkid: Go fuck yourself, you pathetic, insecure little twit. How little is your dick that you have to post something like that - "oh, yeah, my bike will waste yours"....???

You suck cock, you're a creepy little faggot, you are NOT a grown-up, and you have MAJOR issues if you can't compliment something like this video.

Do your pathetic insecure self a favor, and stop making yourself look IMMATURE AND INSECURE by posting your little elementary posts.

    Fuck off.

  • @fletcherjustin10

wtf...just saying you touchy twunt....these new bikes are awesome but restricted...mine aint ffs....you need see a doc u fekin keyboard commando muppet

  • @camelbreathkid

Sport bikes aren't just about top speed. This bike has better suspension, lighter weight, a more rigid chassis, better brakes, and better geometry than you bike. With riders of comparable skill, your "unrestricted" bike would be at a severe disadvantage on a circuit...which is the environment these bikes are designed for.

  • I own one and it's a sensational ride !!

  • That looks so so fun

  • my zx12r will smoke it...i have the unrestricted early one..i have seen 200 mph plus many times

  • @camelbreathkid

My 25 cc moped will smoke your ZX12R any day, any road condition.......lol

  • @camelbreathkid Yeah but yours is ugly....

  • if these bikes were unleashed the top speed would be 210 mph plus for sure

  • that got up to 186 so god damn quick aha

  • yay

  • @danthemanzizzle Its actually MPH

  • bloody heellll

  • at min 1;02-1;07 looks like the front tire starts to shake a bit. gives me the willies every time on my bike.

  • @The88katana600 nah mat ei love it lol

  • THE ULTIMATE SEDUCTION......................

nothing can even face this one..

but on the other hand, everybody got a differant taste

  • não é páreo para a HAYABUSA de final!!Ainda, mas é a PERFECT BYKE!!!!

  • i love that the speedo tops out at 186 but the revs keep climbing.....hes doing 192 or better at the rev limiter.

  • 1st 92 MPH

    2nd 111 MPH

    3rd 141 MPH

    4th 166 MPH

    5th 181 MPH

    6th 187 MPH

Now that is batshit insane!! ;'D

  • @BeansOnGhost

Who needs a clutch then? ;)

  • The BMW is the best stock bike on the market at present and any1 who says 186mph isn't fast enough on a road bike is clearly a complete idiot I have a gsxr 1000 and it is good for 180mph but I only did it once u never use top end and therefore work on acceleration and low down grunt it's what u need on the road

  • I think those people who asked whether this is in kph or mph are kinda dumb.

  • This bike is capable of doing 200mph or 320kmh but therefor it needs some changes (like full sport-exhaust, taller gearing, power-commander, tape over de holes in the windscreen and removal of the license plate to reduce drag). This was tested by another UK bike magazin.

  • that's quick, i just can't get over the styling of this bike... bmw makes such beautiful cars, why can't they make a bike with the same headlights in the front...

  • must be neevsy riding with the weave haha. man i miss my bike.

  • What the heck would anyone do on a bike at 300+ ??? What's the point? Above 200 you're just hanging on, trying to be as small as you can behind the windshield, not enjoying anything that makes motorcycling what it is... It's like hanging on to the outside of the TGV... Ridiculous!

  • @hellicks they probably said the same back when bikes didn't go faster than 120-150 kph... :D

  • @thexeqter Could be, I won't argue... anyway, we all ride for our own reasons...

  • is the metre in mph or km/h?

  • @Thaqib miles...its crazy fast

  • @MrFlyahh thanks!

  • After introduction of Hayabusa, Kawasaki built theirs ZX-12, which at pre-sale tests proved to be faster. Top speed was one of the most important aspects (in sales) of superbikes, back then. Europe was concerned about top speed competition between producers, so they made a simple rule - 300kph (186mph) limitation, or bike can't be sold in Europe.

This is probably the only reason why you don't see bikers going 240-260 mph or more nowadays, thanks God!

  • @sampsolol you need to look closer!

  • Whats the point in having a Super Sport bike and then limiting them?! If I pay £10,000+ on a bike I expect to get my moneys worth!

  • @carpo94 300km/h isn't fast enough for you??

  • @jlkiwi It's not slow by any means but I find it a little annoying that your bikes hindered.

  • mph or Kmh?

  • @Tuning3255 MPH

  • @EliteWarfare thks (y)

  • ....again, NO rev matching on the downshifts...?????? Relying on the slipper-clutch (if there's 1 fitted, cant remember) is just LAZY.. and will munch your clutch like Pringles, apart from being risky on turn-in. WHO do they get to test-ride these bikes..!?

  • just replace the stock CDI to aftermarket CDI, then you'll get the RPM is unlimited. the only one risk is, your engine's gonna blow.

  • i want to see the 1198 flat out please...

  • You can buy form Bazzaz the z bomb , it´s a module that eliminates the speed limit, just don´t know if it´s available for every bike , i have it on a gixxer 600 it works great... !!!

  • Listen muppets the speedo stops at 186mph that doesn't mean it's limited!! The uk is not limited to 186mph Jesus Christ some people really are thick! My R1 SPEEDO will only go up to 189mph but the bike continues to accelerate. Has everyone got it now??

  • @chrisbedfordr1 Actually this bike is clearly limited to 186mph since the RPM's are clearly NOT rising after reaching 186mph.

  • i dont get it , they make cars like the bugatti veyron and they can go up to at least 200mph so why dont they let bikes do that too? is it an aerodynamic thing perhaps? would a motorcycle flip over if it got too fast?maybe they need something like that before they can do the HIGH speeds...

  • 1 this bike isnt limited to 186mph, the revs continue to rise... 2 aerodynamics at those speeds require exponential increases in power vs velocity. (thats why you`ll never see 210mph from a road bike) 3 the imperial measuring system was formed on Roman numeracy which revolves around available units at the time (arms, height etc.) It doesnt require colossal intellect to master...

  • There is nothing better than wringing the neck out of any bike . They scare you shitless nowadays but it has to be done.

  • Reminds me of the times in GTA IV when I get up to top speed and then slam into the back of a car sending Niko flying about 300 yards through the air. Not sure why this video made me think of that but it did.

  • i was thinking wow it just stopped dead at 186, hhmmmm kinda like it needed a 7th gear, then i realized this is the UK, and the bike is restricted, but fuck me that bike got there real fucking quick, regardless of how the rider got there

  • only the speedo is limited. on japanese bikes also 300 on the speedo is max. it does not mean the speed is limited to 300!!

  • RAWR.. like any of us is ever going to go 186mph... RAWR

  • Comment removed

  • @fragmasterkarl you're shitting me right? the only limited cars are jags and german cars that only hit 155mph, all japanese bikes are limited, this bike isn't limited, the speedo just stops at 186mph, people have hit 192mph on GPS with stock bikes, proving german/european bikes arent limited

  • 6th gear added a fairly pointless 5mph.

  • 186 mph

  • STOP DOING THESE IN THE MEASURING SYSTEM OF THE TARDS!

  • @julingy KPH sucks bro..

  • @larlar752000 lol the metric system is much better is makes more sense

  • @jujuzac I grew up on MPH so it makes more sense to me.

  • @larlar752000, how does it suck? its relational.... meaning its actually based on something....MEANING= 1kilometer= 1000meters = 10000 centimeters= 100000milimeters

quick.... give me the same rundown for mph...... im waiting..... still waiting

  • @julingy OH NO! 1 MPH = 5280 ft = 1,609.34 metres = 160900 cenimeters = 169000 milimeters

Quick! Try to act smart on Youtube! I'm waiting.... Still waiting...

  • lol, you just proved my fucking point you tool. 1mph= 5280ft...... this doesn't convert nicely at all... that way of measurement should be gotten rid of for the metric system in your country, its obvious, so many others have done it, progress!

  • @julingy Sure I did.. A lot of smart people think it's a good system while a lot of people think it's not same thing goes for KPH so you can act like you know stuff but really you don't know a damn thing because as far as I know you aren't anyone other than a troll thinking he's smart on the internet. blocked.

  • Its kind of bumpy

  • I heard this Bike is faster than Hayabusa, apparently it was a rumor! I tried my Busa 315km/h (197mph) and the rev was still under the red line. This one is right on the red line when it's going 186mph.

  • 90mph in 1st?! you dont need the other gears

  • 0-186 mph in less than 30 seconds...

  • is it legal to de restrict bikes in the UK?

  • The on board footage is cool but maybe mix in some fly by footage next time. Keep up the good work guys.

  • Nice

  • Does the s100 have some wheelie control since he didn't power wheelie in first gear to max rev? Or did he prevent it somehow?

  • @H4r4ld0 They have wheelie control.

  • Only the speedometer is restricted ! Real speed will incresae after 300 .... but you won't be able ti measure it :o)

  • @cliclactube Hmm, that may be right because it gained about 6 mph from 13,000 to 13,400 but it stayed 186 from 13,400 to 14,000.

  • 90mph in 1st. The worlds fastest twistngo

  • Is it just me or did he only use the clutch to launch then hard shifted through all the gears without using the clutch?

  • @DexterGoneWild Yeah thats what most people do.

  • @DexterGoneWild you can do that easy with sports bikes, since you're changing from a larger cog to a smaller one, the gears don't grind

  • @DexterGoneWild Quickshifter aka gear shift assist

  • Stupid that no bikes are restricted (providing they're above 33bhp) yet still limited to 186mph. Why?

  • @DemonicWeapons In the 90s When the HP war was happening, Most global governments wanted to change the Top speeds and make them limited because TOO many people where dieing. Thats what happened here in aus. So all we do is take the AU limiter out.

  • @DemonicWeapons Only japanese bikes are. Europeans were getting killed in them so the japanese makers went under a selfimposed limiter to 186. Euro superbikes like the Ducatti 1198 aren't limited

  • @DemonicWeapons they did it on cars too

  • @DemonicWeapons idk, i know on car manufactors they will limit the speed to the speed rating of the tires...... a blowout 186mph+ on a motorcycle means instant death, and hundreds of pieces of your bike.

  • probably having something to do with not being able to ensure that the chassis and tires on the bike are capable at those speeds. sure the engine may be, but to buy a bike that has all componenets designed to function well at 300+ is going to cost one helluva lot more than the 16g's these bikes cost..... try maybe 40g's

    - there now i answered the question all these people seemed to have!

  • @DemonicWeapons Well on the vid it indicates 186mph at 13200 revs but it red lines at 14500 which would work out to be 204mph

  • @DemonicWeapons idk , is this a stupid uk thing or is it international?

  • @DemonicWeapons Aerodynamic efficiency.

  • @DemonicWeapons as far as i know, it is not a restriction. it is an agreement between manufacturers to limit their bikes dials to 299kph (186mph)

the bike keeps going but u will never see more than 299 on the dials.

they did it to save themselves from spending ridiculous amounts of money for "the fastest bike in the world" title

maybe i am totally wrong but thats what i read

  • @DemonicWeapons haha take it to a shop spend 1000 on a new electronics and bam no limiter

  • @DemonicWeapons Industry gentleman's agreement. Back in the 90's there was a race for top speed. When the Blackbird and the Hayabusa was launched, they decided it was getting a bit silly.

  • @DemonicWeapons mainly safety as the max rating on road bike tyres is "Y" 300mph or 186mph... as the speed rating is the limiting factor then the bikes are built geared or limited to that speed. My 09 Hayabusa was limited and would actually do 186 in 5th gear, My new S1000rr max's out at around the same speed.

TBH really honest ive only done it once on each bike, its difficult to even use full throttle for more than a few seconds on the road let alone max it out!

  • Limited to 186... Uk rules

  • insane

  • i thought max speed was like 205

  • @Stthings Most production bike (...in fact all that I can think of) are electronically limited to 300kmph which translates to 186mph. If you had that removed then it would probably hit 200+ with no effort at all :P

  • @delivaer ooooh, well is there a way to either take out the restrictor or bypass it?

  • @delivaer That's a bit wrong, Japanese to make no competitions of top speeds in their bikes reach an agreement that every bike would show 299kph as max speed but in fact they are not limited. Europeans also reach that agreement and show the same top speed. If you go to a suzuki dealer and ask for the top speed they will tell you it's 299kph and that would happend with the rest on japanese bikes.

  • @DeScRuN oh ok, maybe it was just my imagination that my GSXR-1000 stops accelerating at 299. I shall try it again! I'm having the limiter taken off by 'a friend' next week, do you think this would have the potential to hit 200+mph? (it''s an '08 model)

  • @delivaer Well gforces at from 299 to 310 are hard to feel because it increases the speed slowly. 2006 1000cc bikes have been taken to 320kph, which is the top speed on the rev limiter.

  • @delivaer it was redlining at 186 though

  • @delivaer no shit?:O

  • @delivaer you are very very misinformed... even a hayabusa or a zx14 or a zx12, stock, cannot do 200... they do around 186 187... an r1 tops out at 180. i know i ride... please check... not electronicly limited at all.

  • @perfecte99 ...don't care. It's the way it gets there that matters to me more

  • @delivaer ,i think you will see that it doesn't stop at 186,just the speedo stops, the revs keep climbing long after its reached 186

  • @delivaer is it possible to remove that restriction?

  • this is like 25 lac ruppees

  • failed to launch

  • nossa! 186 milhas quato chega em km/h..

  • @marcel7834 299 km/hr

  • Secounnddd

  • first lol
