  • Are these good for beginners? I have been trying to figure out a species to get. I have been looking at the Brachypelma species, but the ones I want are kinda pricey or hard to find. Are these a bipolar species or usually docile? Do they jump?

  • @SkullCandyGirlRK

Get a B.smithi. They are hardier and easier to handle.

  • sweet like my ;D

  • /captain antilles from star wars (the rebel guy who gets strangled by vader at the beginning of a new hope)

  • @2:38 through 2:44 ... "Ugh, I'm tired. I'm just gonna rest here."

  • did i mention purple?

  • wow its like red, blue, orange, black, green, brown, pink, white, and grey all in there :O

  • @12NadaSurf12 lol, yup! That is why they call them "versicolor".

versicolor - having many color, variegated, changing in color, iridescent.

    ;)

  • @crossycrossfield The watch something else fucktard. I prefer it better than the assholes talking.

  • @DSFAN1011 Keep the cage humidity right by keeping the substrate humid. Eco-earth is great for this. Less ventilation is better than more. Same thing goes for temperature. 76f is good. If you witness that a lot of mold growth, slowly lower the humidity until it is gone. Pretty much it. ;)

  • These spiders are South American right? From the Amazon?

  • im stoked for mine get bigger

me and my gf just bought a lil spiderling today

  • i love scaring my girlfriend with my spider :)

  • @TheGotikEngel And your spider doesn't appreciate it.

  • Beautiful spider!

  • Very nice spider. And video still good quality. What Camera did you used=?

  • super

  • That is an awesome looking trantula :) I've got a Chaco golden knee (spiderling) can't wait till it this size fun times ahead :-D

  • wats that wite thing on its ass

  • @loveroftxting she (Avicularia) just hasn't hair in this place ;)

  • @AdamSavage88 actually the Goliath small bird eating spider does shoot hairs from behind

  • Beautiful A. versi, I got a 30mm sling a few weeks ago as my first T, delighted with it, beautiful spiders!

I think I'll get hooked pretty quickly, I've got an A. diversipes on the way next week, looking forward to seeing the difference in attitude, I've heard A. diversipes is a lot feistier than the versi's, should be fun!

    Matt

  • I'm thinking about buying an A versi as my 3rd tarantula, and can get a 3" female for $100. Is that a good price for it?

  • @StoneLeaf12 yes, because on ken the bug guys website he's selling one that 3.5 inches for 225, but that's because it is female, is the one you found male or female?:D

  • @jpatt666 the one I found is female, sounds like a great deal based on kens price!

  • ohhh so cute :)

  • Cuteeeeeeee =) a little cat XD

  • tickles my arm just watching 'em crawl up yours. mines about the exact same size..

  • 3:13 altho it has some cute eyes, i still don't like the look in em >=P

  • they don't kick there hairs they drop them :D

  • @gigaboot2 A.versicolor CAN kick hairs. Although they rarely ever do it, it is barley noticeable when they do, the hairs don't go very far and are barely visible when in flight. As far as I know, the other Avicularia sp. can't kick them and only 'stick' it to their aggressors as a defense.

  • @jcv4200 Oh okay well ty for the mini lesson. :)

  • so Avicularia versicolor cant kick there hair?

  • @jcv4200 google übersetzter machts möglich :D

  • @kalihuhn Ja, es funktioniert! ;)

  • @jcv4200 haha that's pretty cool ;)

and by the way your versi is awesome!

yours is much less shy and fast as mine and so I can't handle her -.-

Kannst du mal ein viedo von einer Brachypelma ruhnaui/albiceps machen (falls du eine besitzt) weil ich finde das die art sehr interessant ist :D

  • @kalihuhn Thanks! Her sisters were not so nice! One went into a threat pose on my hand! I will seen what I can do about the Brachypelma video, I don't have a B.albiceps right now, but if I find a good sized B.albiceps I will make a video!

  • I love you video man! watched it countless times...

Say, any chance you'll be making something like this for the B. Boehmei species?

  • @MorningKillsDawn If I had a mature female B. boehmei I would, but I don't own any Brachypelma right now.

  • @jcv4200 oh, that's a shame... will you have any anytime soon?

  • @MorningKillsDawn Just got one! But unfortunatly it is just a 0.5'', so it will be a while before I make a video on him.

  • @jcv4200 anyway you could tell me which one of the two, A. Versicolor or B. Boehmei, is a favorable one as a first tarantula to have?

  • @MorningKillsDawn Personally I prefer the B. Boehmei. I really don't trust holding trust holding trarantulas. You can say I am 'expecting' a bite when I do. B. Boehmei live alot longer and are hardier than A.versicolor and they are more low maitenance so you don't have to worry about them becoming dehydrated all the time and kicking the bucket.

  • psychodelic tarantula...:)

  • I have one too =) They're awesome. Watch my video with avi! ; )

  • lol he grew so fast

  • This is a very beautiful T man, one of my favorite sp.

Nice video, clean and sharp...also love the music.

    Thumbs up!

  • Sorry. The RPG comment was me actually :) I forgot to sign out of his account! But yeah, mine is the same EXACT size :)

  • Mines the SAME exact size :) 3.5-4in. Wish I could get some good footage of her!

  • Beautiful little thing. Is that fully grown now? I'll be getting one of these very soon. :o)

  • @walswebworld She is about 3.5 inches here, but they can reach around 5''-5.5''

  • Nice vid with useful info...Good job!

  • @whippetgirl1 Thanks. :)

  • I can not wait until ours starts showing its adult colors. They are so incredibly beautiful. They beat the pants off any bird, fish or reptile I have seen.

  • @curiousme63 I agree!

  • This is the best video I've seen to show off these beautie's colors. 5 Stars.

  • love the mirror pad on the abdomen

  • @mislabeledracoon Thanks! :)

  • Fantastic quality video footage.

Very much appreciated the info on the 'environmental threat' to this tarantula.

Something that all hobbyists should be aware of.

Not just to this species but all tarantula enviro-threats should be top of list of care facts along with temp & humidity.

  • Glad you enjoyed it! :)

  • The music actually went great with this video.

  • Nice versi.

What is the tune? Sounds like red moon.

  • Sorry for the late response. Don't know the tune, it was a youtube audio swap.

  • She's pretty!
