Well, Tis Christmas al I thought I was getting was an iPod touch, which I did get. I had been begging my parents for a cellphone for a couple months, but my parents said I had to pay for it myself. After all the presents were open, I heard a cellphone go off. At first I was confused, but then my mom took out small bag hidden underneath our table, and guess what in it? A cellphone! It was the LG Cosmos.

I really like this video, the boy reminds me of my son. Tracfone has such good deals for children. The most important thing for me is that both he and I can get hold of one another in case of emergancies, which Tracfone has an incredible network provider.

He was nine when he got the phone, & is now 11, & still has the same phone! At first, he was only allowed to have it when he was outside playing with friends, out of my range of vision (like riding bikes, or at the park). Very gradually, as he has shown responsibility for it, he is allowed to have it more often. He still is not allowed to take it to school. I think it all depends on the maturity of the child, and the level of responsibility they show. U would def be the coolest uncle!

Here's some advice for buying minutes. Buy the 200 min. card instead of the 120 min. card because if you have double minutes on your phone you get 160 more minutes for only $10 more. The 120 min. card is $30 and the 200 min. card is $40. Double those minutes, do the math, and avoid the mistake I made!!! Also look online for promo codes!!!

Aww this is sooo sweet! Hell you guys must be doing something right. He was so genuinely happy his face just lit up! I see so many other kids who don't appreciate ANYthing they get. And the other comments are right - I'm an adult and I still use a Tracfone because they are the best value for light users. And of course the service is super reliable too.

He's 9. And he's only allowed to have it when he's outside playing or riding bikes with his friends, in case of emergency. When he's not away from home with his friends, the phone is in a locked cabinet. He has to wait until he's 12 to be allowed to carry it with him all the time.
