Both GM and Chrysler killed their pony cars, despite being superior compared to the Mustang, but Ford persist with the chewed up fox platform. Ford decided to invest a new model (despite financial problem) and people flocks to the showroom. Both GM and Chrylser realized their mistake!

typical muscle cars. shitty build quality, heavy as hell, cant handle for shit, tall lazy gearing, actual power output is significantly less than manufacturer claims, extreme drivetrain loss even worse than some jap and german all wheel drive cars....not to mention low power output and terrible fuel economy compared to imports with similar displacement engines.....oh, and did i mention much slower acceleration than comparable imports? lol .... in other words. the shittiest cars on the planet

@tomasortega1 The camaro is based on an Australian ve commodore, this car is highly regarded for it's chassis. The chassis is used by vauxhall in the vxr8 and pontiac uses it in the g8. This is one reason why the camaro has done so well this generation, it has the ability to back up it's looks.

If wasn't for the Mustang, there will be no Camaro or Challenger. Both GM and Chrysler killed their pony cars, despite being superior compared to the Mustang, but Ford persist with the chewed up fox platform. Ford decided to invest a new model (despite financial problem) and people flocks to the showroom. Both GM and Chrylser realized their mistake!

The reason they used that name because they are based on directly on original fox platform (I assume "fox" was Ford's internal codename, used on Ford Fairmont, LTDII, Continental mkvii...) the Fox platform used on 1994 mustang was so heavily modified they called it SN-95.

I switched to mustangs years ago when GM corporatized and effectively snuffed Pontiac' distiction from Chevy. Owned Lemans, GTO, Gran Prix's and Firebirds. Those were the days.
My 69 GTO would eat cameros for lunch and then keep up with the superbikes running around in the 80's
