Thanks When i check my installed applications both compiz fusion and advanced desktop setting are installed but accessing the latter is hell, am using bt 4 final i can't upgrade to kde4 because of h/w.pls assist i feel like shooting myself

now it is easy in new backtrack 4 final, just start synaptic and find KDE 4 for windows manager, then install compiz fusion and compiz fusion advanced setting manager. In video you can actually see Conky sidebar

why would you have compizand all that with backtrack? its a live cd hacking distro

because I am using this distro as main distro (not as live dvd). I have installed this distro year ago and now I am using bt 4 pre final modded (amp security team).

So as dayily used distro I don't know why i wouldn't use compiz

I have used recordmydesktop which is included in BT 3

my videos recorded with recordmydesktop flicker when i use compiz effects.. im going to have to delete each distroted frame...

that is in setting manager (fusion-icon).. try to find something as "group view"

hey i never seen the one where you had one window on the back of the other. where is that in settings manager? maybe i dont have it
