  • idk if ill do this right... mayb i should take it apart to do it or shuud i just ask best buy to change it for me?/ how much will they cost??

  • Hey, I am about to do this to my iPhone 2G, but I have no idea what kind of glue I should buy/get. What kind of glue did you use @Torninger87 and it is buyable in Norway?

  • i got the same screen cover man their sick i got one for my ipod touch and blackberry :D

  • ummm do you have tew use glue

  • MISOPHONES●COM

    UNLOCK YOUR iPhone #FTW

  • you can change only the glass and it will work...u can see my own tutorial that proves i'm right..

  • Congrats for the patience and the steady arm ... steel nerves in short :) One`s gotta have those if you want to replace 2G glass. Thumbs up of course !

  • Do you know if I can do this on iPhone 3G? because I brought a Glass Screen on eBay but it didn't came with the Digitizer.

  • @TrueTexican940

    Hi!

I wouldn't do this on a 3G. Buy a new glass with the digitizer for the iPhone 3G/S, it will take 20min then you are finished.

  • what are you using to wipe the LCD? i dont want to scratch mine.

  • dude, why didnt you film you putting the new screen back on? you filmed you putting a screen protector on... i believe you did this and all but why cut the most important part out??

  • One "problem" to consider: when the new screen has been attached, it's not necessary 100% fit. I mean, at least for me, there are tiny tiny vertical holes (about 0,2mm) both side of the screen. It allows the dust come under the screen :/. So, it might be a good idea to fill both of those holes with something, like silicone?

  • I replaced my broken iPhone 2G thanks to this video SUCCESFULLY! All saying there "this doesn't work / fail / broke my screen thanks to you / bullshit!" are a bunch of retard noobs!

Take your time, be careful and this will 100% turn out well!

New screen + screen adhesive stickers from eBay = $6. Not a bad price in my opinion, when the digitizer replacement method costs around $100!

At least I'm very satisfied, so thank you very much for this! You made my iPhone 2G as a new one :)!

  • @0lkka exactli! i meen y tlk all yo junc. n insted of jst takin yo time

  • Glue is: LOCTITE® Super Attak Precision ?

  • wao this is great Bro,im gonna try it.

  • Hi,this is great,i have tried so many ways but this i have not tried, will the main screen not crack ?

  • Can you please tell me where you bought the glass.

  • @dellcomputerlab ebay they have it there for 9.99$

  • good man

  • Can you buy screens for the ipod nano like the one's that are like the ones without the camera

  • the web address is dead so guess no part one.this is a bit wierd of a way to do this usually you disasasemble and take the frame off the digitizer

  • Nice math work with matrices haha

  • Comment removed

  • how is this fake?

  • I've just got a q about the glue. What kind og glue does it have to be and what should I avoid? Also isn't the glue visable ( like liquid when you stick the glass together?

  • some guy on anther video said super glue jel

  • this is raider class

  • I hate the fkng anoying music on this stupid video. there has to be a real way to do this sh!t I know apple wouldn't do it like this!

  • There IS a real way to do it. Search it up.

  • my touch screen stopped working bulshit procedure

  • YES! this does work. But you need patience, time and a razor blade. If you glass is shattered into little pieces it makes this all the better. When you get to trying to remove the big pieces is when its gets difficult. So the more shattered your glass is the better. Take your time and work from the edges in. I just got mine all done. Just waiting for the full housing from Hong Kong that you see on eBay. For those who talk shit, dont be mad cause it didnt work for you lol.

  • SUCCESS!! Thank you! I finally worked up the courage to try the procedure! I followed the advice exactly ... 2 hours later I had cramped and painful fingers but a perfectly working phone without screen. The only thing I did extra after reading other comments was to use a hot hair dryer to soften the glue which made it much easier. Afterwards I used nail polish remover to clean the remaining glue and shards! Now I'm waiting for the new lcd glass screen to arrive ...

  • hey whats glue did you use? thanks

  • Hey RiP3003 tell me where you can find a digitizer with the glass. And for a 2Gen iphone, I don't think you can find for $20 or even $50 or $90! I tried this and it works but you'll have to have some skills.

  • So if i just buy a PLastic screen and put it does it work fine or it doesnt?? plz hELP!!! plz i want to do this

  • I messed up the LCD screen =(( so now im fuckd!

  • same here :))

  • SCAM

  • u have done that in 1 hour WITH SUNGLASSES?? respect, i mean its logic, on the first day god created the haven and the earth, on the second day he set up light, witch means he created the haven and the earth in the dark... but actually i prayed last night and god told me tu buy a glass with digitizer, as said its permanantly laminated to the glas, so spend 20 bugs more and u will find at least 10 minutes time and a much more comfortable way to repair it!

  • He did the sunglasses thing to hide his Identity. If you pay close attention, you can see his reflection on the new screen and he isnt wearing sunglasses. Just an fyi for no reason at all

  • You have a better chance of winning a lottery than replacing the glass..AS the glass is permanently laminated to the digitizer and cannot be removed

  • He is so stupid for the music a sensible person would rather take time to explain how he is doing than takeing time to look fir the dumb music that's playing on the background

  • jjeesus that music is inappropriate

  • ... so basically u didn't film the ABSOLUTELY most critical part of the whole procedure ?

  • has any1 tried this and does it work i need to try it but i want to be sure cuz pieces of glass are falling off everyday

  • how can i win this iphone?

  • DONT DO IT PEOPLE!

  • Will this work on my new 3GS?

  • 3G S and the 3G are different. The glass and the actual LCD aren't glued together like the 2G. You can simply buy the new glass and pop it in. Make sure though, the glass comes with the digitizer. Don't buy the cheap 11.40 ones like this video as the newer iPhones need the glass with the digitizer.

  • this cover is really thick

  • did you allready crack the screen?

  • you dont put the digitalizer on the front of the phone... -_-

  • First of all: it does work! And thank you very much for publishing the videos.

    Important things to observe:

    1 - use eye protection

2 - use tweezers (I thought I could do without them but heart myself twice within the first 30 minutes

3 - take time (it took me 1:45)

    4 - don't use too much force

5 - don't get scared when you get to the upper or lower part and suddenly you see small electronical parts instead of the black LCD. That is ok. You did not break the LCD.

  • Tried doing this and messed up my digitizer. Time for a new LCD + Digitizer + screen :-/

    Tips for people doing this:

Use a strong and sharp knife. Shove it forward along the cracks and try to pry the screen off (it will most likely crack but you'll get big pieces off in one swipe every now and then). Be careful around the top and bottom because it's easy to slip there. ABSOLUTLEY wear goggles or glasses for your eyes and fyi, the glass will get EVERYWHERE so get ready to clean up afterward

  • the reommended glue is 3m scotch-weld adhesive glue

  • That glue is not recommended for glass, it even says so on the package.

  • Comment removed

  • will you replace mine ill pay you

  • applying pressure is a bi**h it works but then some parts wont move so the more pressure i guess the best! good luck ppl

  • Thank you, Robin for making this video!

  • First of all I just did this on my 2G and IT WORKS! So haters and be quiet.

However, it was not easy, but if you're like me, you're iphone is your baby so it was worth it. 6 hours and 12 band aids later, my phone is complete. It was VERY tedious but I learned a lot so I thought I would share some tips:

  • - the smaller the cracked pieces, the easier they are to remove so if your phone is only cracked in a couple of pieces, i recommend cracking it further for ease. i found placing pressure with a small tool to existing cracks further cracks your screen.

    - goo gone and a blow dryer are essential. Apply a small amount of goo gone around the pieces and cracks. Super heat with a blowdryer for a coulple mins. and the shards will slide off much easier. Continually do this throughout the process.

  • Nice tips Singletrack26. But try rubbing alcohol instead of goo gone. Works just as good if not better and you don't feel high from the fumes.. haha. Unless you like that feeling.

  • - leave all the rubbery glue on the digitizer until you are complete, it will act as a guard if you accidentally slip.

    - make sure every single little bit off glass is out of your phone before applying the new screen. if not, it will cause issues when you try to apply the new one.

  • I want IT

  • so fu*in fake!

  • while taking apart my iphone 2g, i ripped the cable that leads the home button to the mother board. is there anything i can do to save it? its a year and a half old. can i still call apple? someone tell me. i just took the life of the best phone i will ever have. this just sucks.

  • All i can suggest is having a look on action websites and search for "Home screen and cables" something like that?

  • the ipod touch 2g screen is fucking easy to replace

  • On the original iPhone (metal back), the digitizer and glass were sealed as one unit. You can't replace just the glass. The newer 3G models (white/black plastic backs) the digitizer and glass are two seperate pieces. It can be fixed easier than the first model. I have found repair kits for both for around 110 each for both models. I don't know why someone would fix the original iPhone. Apple is phasing out features in the next update that only the 3G phones will be able to use. 2G=obselet

  • I now have a 3g and 2g iphone. I still prefer the quality of the 2g casing, and the feel in my hand. It works perfectly now that the cracked screen is repaired! Most features work perfectly (no mms of course or auto focus) if you use it with WIFI. Therefore it remains a great phone - that is why it is worth repairing!

  • It seems to be fake, how can the screen work after breaking digitizer. This video is just to sell 11.4$ glass crap.

  • this shit doesnt work

  • careful. its different for the 3g. ull end up breakin ur LCD.

  • lol nice finite math hw

  • Are those matrices on the paper you're working on? LOL

  • Are you for real? A sharp knife and patience to scrape the glass shards off the face....then a steady hand to use four drops of glue on the replacement glass.....and thats the jist of it? I don't even need to take it a part? jc39110 is this true?

  • yeah it kinda works i got everything off of mine, it looks like what he did, but i just need glass to put over it

  • So the touch screen works on yours after the glass has been removed? If that's the case then you should in theory just have to apply the four drops of glue to the glass.....and your done. Please let us know how it turns out. I will wait to order the glass untill I hear back from you.

O, did you also use a sharp knife to remove the old glass? I was wondering if a fresh razor would work better?

  • I tried both, but in the end stuck to the knife as you need to apply a fair amount of force to break the glass.

  • why is the screen bkwds

  • probably because he recorded it on a macbook.

  • i just have a question, wich glue do u use? help me please!!

  • wow this is realy cool. i bought this iphone 2g with just a broken outer glass, the inner one is fine. i shaved off the old one and i was wondering if the iphone can still accept your action when the outer screen is shaved off?

  • Comment removed

  • Please dont use such harsh language.

  • I received the glass today! Installed and works flawlessly! Thanks again for this video, it IS TRUE! YOU CAN DO IT! REQUIRES PATIENCE!!

    To you JohnFay222,

I applied simple super glue ONLY to the top and bottom parts of the screen (black parts), and set it in, let it dry. It works beautifully.

  • how did u do it? because alot of videos and info are saying u cant just shave it off cuz u will mess up the touch and you have to replace everything

  • If you watch my other video you will see how I do it...

  • i watched a BETTER video!

  • hello torninnger87, how is called the adhesives which you, which stick LCD? atjack or? where can I find that? or can you buy and send it to me? I will transfer everything to you dan over paypall

  • Hey, i am sorry that all these people are claiming its fake, i know its true. I just have a question..

do you apply glue to whole glass screen or just the top and bottom? All the people who say its fake should just not comment.. Great Vid..

  • I dropped my iPhone, completely cracked the screen, but the LCD and digitizer work perfectly. I have watched both videos, and I have ordered the new glass. Since then, I have sucessfully removed all of the broken glass, and the digitizer works perfectly still. Now I am just waiting for the glass to come in!! :) Great video

  • I just bought a iphone with a broken glass screen from my friend for $50, the touch sensitivity works perfectly fine, is that the ideal situation I want to be in to try this?

  • i guess i havent follow all the steps u did. Maybe if u had the full video i would'v save the iphone hmmmm but still ur technic is very very creative for boys and girls. Kids when repering the IPHONE u should put some gloves and some nice shades for preventing of cutting your selfs. 1 thing that is very helpfull in this video is how u place the protective glass wooow that is amazing wahahaha very technical thank you for your video very helpfull 5 starr youtuber hmmmmmm

  • geeksquirt50, What are you trying to say? "...but still ur technic is very very creative for boys and girls. Kids when repering the IPHONE" Learn your own grammar before you tell other people what to do

  • DONT TRY TO DO Like this asshole he is one of the best bluffer i'd Know even I igot in his traP BY DOING THE SAME THINNG HE DID. i.D BOUGHT A BROKEN GLASS/iPHONE ON EBAY 70$ AND lIKE I"D HOPED TO MAKE SOME FEW BUCKS IT DIDNT WORK. u REALY NEED TO BUY A DIGITIZER AND D GLASS ABOUT 100 TO 160 AND IT WILL RESOULVE YOUR PROBLEM HOPELY I COULD A FEW BUCKS ON D IPHONE. • omg this is so fucking fake u can tell if u watch close thats not even the same phone this is just a big scam i bought that 11dollar screen which is worth shit dont fall for it its all bs....

  • how close do you have to look to see it's not the same phone?! I think pretty close. or..? No that's right, you don't have to look close or anything to understand that this is the same phone. I don't know what to promote here... A surgery for your eyes or your brain?!

  • how do you enter

  • From my experience with gluing the replacement glass is that responsiveness issues, and digitizer sometimes needs to be reset by locking it and unlocking. This issue is purely because there is no glue between digitizer and replacement glass. Torninger may have let it sit for 10-15sec. I personally had a couple of books stacked ontop of the iphones and let it sit overnight. Solution to responsiveness issues is to have a screen protector between the glass and digitizer.

  • wats the screen protecter you used phaanle?

  • What ever the reason he didnt show the glue part because the was the hardest part that might not even be the same phone!!

  • why you not show the part with the glue???

  • will someone win it seriously!!!!!!

  • yes you can... but not so many seems to be interested yet.

  • what kind of glue do you use to get the screen to stay on? i cant quite read the writing on the bottle

  • Some kind of super attack glue for glass and similar stuff...

  • 10 points for griffoundor!

  • How's going dude, can you help me out? Whats the name of the glue you're using, and where can i find it? Also whats the little wipe you used to wipe the screen. i will appriciated! thanks!

  • Hello I was the one emailing you about this process before you put up the actual videos. I will hopefully be receiving my glass from hong kong on Friday. I will post a video response when I record my process. I know for sure I can take off all the glass no problem I just hope i get my touch functions back after puting the glass on. I've seen people say that after removing all the glass the touch screen won't work, but after you put the new glass on it works perfectly. Is this true, and why?

  • Yes it's true that my both worked after my replacement. Why others not worked, I have no idea. Maybe they the LCD was broken before they changed and thought it will work again as soon as they fixed the glass?!

  • in the half of FIRST video the time in your iphone was .00.02 and in the end when you showed that your iphone done the time was 23.02 .I think you play a game god try but not enough and its clearly a trick . DONT TRY THIS GUYS AT LESS SOME ONE CAN PROVE IT .

  • i have a question....you said that you bought your screen from china...i've seen on ebay some people sell plastic and some sell glass screens , which do you think is better ?

  • Hi!

I think the glass is the best thing you could have...

  • i give you credit bro.

i think ill give it a shot :)

  • Thank you! I have done it 2 times now and succeeded both time. So I think you should try it ;) post to me later and tell me how it went!

  • haha, k, why didn't you just show it when you replaced the screen? it looks totally fake to be honest man, all I want is to see it when you actually replace the screen because you haven't done that, you've only shown how to remove one. I was being a pretty big asshole earlier, sorry 'bout that.

  • It's OK. I just get frustrated because it's no fake! The only thing is that I missed to puch the film button under just that step. Stupid of me but that's how it whent.. On my next change I will show everything...

  • HAHA get a life! Too bad you can't trust what you see.

I would like for you to speak/write my language ;)

    Ha det förjävligt...

  • en tarvitse oppia sellaista skeida sä oot fucking loser! i don't need swedish I speak finnish you fag. and if you really did what you claim to have done in the video why isn't it shown?

  • wtf is wrong with you? I replaced the screen on a iPhone and filmed it because many peoples whanted to see how I did it. And I did filmed it, but I missed to film when I applied the glue on the glass so I wrote what I did instead. So normal people can understand what I did, sorry for not explain for retarded people like you, my bad.

So I don't understand what you whant!?
