This aircraft is strictly for airshows. All these fancy tricks cannot be done in combat. Performing post stall maneuvers such as Pugachev's Cobra can only be done without carrying any bombs, missiles, or external fuel tanks on the wings. The F-22 on the other hand carries everything internally, therefore a full combat load can be carried and still perform all the maneuvers it does in the airshows. For some reason no one ever mentions this. Hmm..I wonder why?

Fornof, who is a senior aggressor pilot at Red Flag and has flown against the F-22 and SU-30, the F-22 has a turn rate of 28 degrees per second compared to the SU-30 which has a turn rate of only about 22 degrees per second. He gave a very good lecture about the 2 aircraft to an Airforce audience and it is posted on YouTube. Look it up. F-22 is waaay beyond the capabilities of the SU-30. Facts dont lie.

Also SU-30 can not Supercruise. The F22 can Supercruise above Mach 1.5. As for the F-22 not being massed produced, are u crazy? The US has over 150 F-22's w/ 40 more currently being built. The turn rates of Su-30 MKI with TVC and canards are well into the mid 30 degrees. Su 30 is one of the most potent fighters in the world. But it's only problem is it's ferry range of 3000km, wich is low compared to F15E (4150km without fuel tanks).

And lets get something straight do u really think that PAF keeps those 90's f-16's they r already being modrenized to the point of F-16c block 50/52 which we import from the US
Now when it comes to JF-17 its not a frozen aircraft it will have modifications too but we guyz actually believe to make an operational aircraft and then upgrade it unlike India which keeps upgrading its LCA on paper
And the way we know it the planned upgrades will make JF equal to the F-16 Block C/D

We also have BVR on our F-16 block 50/52+'s and the block 2 of JF-17 which will be delivered in 2013-2015 will also have BVR and J-10's of Pak which will be available by 2015 will also have BVR
at present only our F-16's has BVR

@abdulbarijan LCA programme was started in 1985 and so it is just 25 years not 40.If you say that it is a long period then you should know that even USA made the first prototype of Osprey(aircraft & helicopter combo) after 25 years of prototyping.By the way,Induction of LCA has been started.What about pakistan,has not made even a glider since independence.63 years is a long time!!!

48 new Su´s 35 will be well delivered in next 3-4 years to the russian airforce and it is a quite better machine as 30es series. Then pakfa is gonna be 2014-15 in the play. and that bird is gonna be a mass-production plane, as f15 and smth else. su 35 is only a makeshift. and f22 and pakfa will be approx. like-for like with little differences

This aircraft is strictly for airshows. All these fancy tricks cannot be done in combat. Performing post stall maneuvers such as Pugachev's Cobra can only be done without carrying any bombs, missiles, or external fuel tanks on the wings. The F-22 on the other hand carries everything internally, therefore a full combat load can be carried and still perform all the maneuvers it does in the airshows. For some reason no one ever mentions this. Hmm..I wonder why?

@ajr666 the flanker is more maneuverable than an f 22 loaded and unloaded. f22's are very agile but not compared to flankers especially at low speeds

IDK where ur getting ur info from, but it is absolutely wrong wrong worng. According to Col. Fornof, who is a senior aggressor pilot at Red Flag and has flown against the F-22 and SU-30, the F-22 has a turn rate of 28 degrees per second compared to the SU-30 which has a turn rate of only about 22 degrees per second. He gave a very good lecture about the 2 aircraft to an Airforce audience and it is posted on YouTube. Look it up. F-22 is waaay beyond the capabilities of the SU-30. Facts dont lie.

true f-22 is superior to su-30 but not for much it is mainly an avionics difference, but mig-35 is far superior than su-30,in any case f-22 and mig-35 have not been mass produced,maybe until they make poof of their real power in combat.

I dont even know where to begin. First, there is WAAY more of a diff between F22 and SU30 besides avionics. Incase u missed it the F22 is a stealth aircraft, SU30 is NOT. Also SU-30 can not Supercruise. The F22 can Supercruise above Mach 1.5. As for the F-22 not being massed produced, are u crazy? The US has over 150 F-22's w/ 40 more currently being built. On the other hand the Russians havent produced even 1 Mig35. Dont worry though, ull have the PAKFA in another 10yrs...maybe

He got his stats wrong...... just as he got it wrong with the engines of MKI and RADAR of MiG-21 BISON. The 22 degree sustained turn he mentions is of a non TVC Su-27/30. The turn rates of Su-30 MKI with TVC and canards are well into the mid 30 degrees. BTW his comments have been bashed heavily on almost all defence forums for his lack of maturity and knowledge on what he's talking about. You might want to do a proper research on that video before jumping into conclusions.

Su 30 is one of the most potent fighters in the world. But it's only problem is it's ferry range of 3000km, wich is low compared to F15E (4150km without fuel tanks).

Even Australian Air Force admited that SU-30MK is 3x times better than F-15 and F-16 latest modifications from USA.

C version is slightly better/lower. Operational first strike BVR capacity of the 39C confirmed by Hungarian AF in international exercises vs. everything in the European arsenal.
Falcon/Viper AM+/block 52+ RCS: 1.2-1.1m2
Mig-35: above 1.3m2
Su-30 MkI: above 1.5m2
Radar R A N G E is on the side of the Su-30 in this comparison but it still gets to fire last by far.

The Indian air force dosnt allow its pilots to use the radar of the mki in showdowns....Its a secret well guarded by the indians and the russians.... and the plane is made by hal...not su...n the f22 beloved to the US in no longer in production...

In red flag The Su 30 mki was severly criticized for an unprecedented number of friendly casaulties.
And that means a Su 30 mki pilot has very little control on what is going on in the environment. Something blips and he takes a shot (in real life with a missile made by the same people who made the Kursk submarine sink itself) and he might
well be shooting at a friendly Su 30 mki.
Its a shit plane. You can see it on radar lightyears away and with its size and smoky engines it's dead wvr.

the Su-30s, FYI, kept their radars switched off. no need to explain why. so they relied on the IR sensors and the Awacs.

Kursk sank not because of bad design of the submarine, but because of lack of maintenance of one for it's torpedoes that was leaking RTP, as oxidiser. Oscar class submarines are one of the best designed submarines ever built!
