  • Lol can run a small city

  • They're all better than any foreign trucks. Why cant we just agree on that and leave it as is?

  • Can i use this for a welding machine? will the PTO create electrical power?

  • @makattak88 Sure it can if you connect the PTO to an electric generator.

  • FORD

    Eatin Chevy's

    Shitting Chevy's.

  • @SecularTechnology no no no. eating chevy's shitting dodge. ;)

I don't hate Dodges. But sure.

  • NO DODGE NO GMC JUST FUCKING FORD TOUGH!

  • This is going to save a lot of money for us welders. We do not have to buy a generator with our welding machines now! A lot of money saved. Ford all ways has been the best and all ways will.

  • Finally Ford you built a diesel. Congrats beautiful truck! Cannot wait to get one!

  • @Jakeawake1

FORD did not receive any bailout! Why is this such a common misconception?!?!?!

  • @allischalmer55

shut up, you forgot the "s" in balls you moron, so there!

And quit being so fucking fucking arrogant, GM trucks are the longest lasting and most efficient trucks on the road and that's a fact.

I hope people stop hating on a single brand of truck just because of their daddy's opinion. Anyway, Chevrolet trucks are good work horses, get great MPG and last long, Ford trucks are good too, Although they have a much higher engine displacement making them good for heavy duty jobs.

  • Like Snow plowing and etc. Another thing I forgot to mention is GM trucks have always been renowned for being able to two heavy equipment without eating up wallet. Fords like any truck, will last a long time if they're well taken care of and aren't worked too hard. One of the problems my father's friend had with his ford was after a couple of years of work on a construction site the Transmission failed on him, this happened twice, When he retired he restored it and hasn't had any problems since.

  • @FANADICALCOWHEAD fords new tranny they are using is beast! they use from the 350 to 650 b/c its that damn tough!!!

  • @FANADICALCOWHEAD chevy would only get my nutsack

  • @FANADICALCOWHEAD Sorry but i have a 2003 Chevy 1500HD and i get 11 mgp and 9 pulling a boat... thats not great mileage in my opinion. Really would like to see what this new ford truck can do though. seems great so far.

  • @flamineon7 We switched service trucks to ford last year, and at 30,000 miles the oil pump went on our 550 , and then the fuel pump a couple weeks later. Our 2006 F250 had to get 3 new injectors and cat last week, and our sport trac pickup does a better job holding parts than running for 'em. I can't speak for all ford users but i'll sure never buy one for myself. Junk IMHO.

  • @gpgab971 well if your oil pump went out a 30k miles then either A-your BS'ing or B-you abused it BIG TIME

  • @FordNissanChevy Well i can't say we don't run them hard, but that's no excuse to put out a sub par truck. They regularly carry anything from loader tires to jackhammers and cement mixers. Hardly a day goes by that a truck isn't loaded for the job. All vehicles are fleet serviced by GE capital, so i can't blame our guys. By the way the oil pump was faulty according to Ford, but we've had our last straw with the blue oval's. The one day it was down, it cost us more than we made on the entire job.

  • @flamineon7 thats what youd get with a ford too. theyre heavier trucks (they use real metal, not plastic like GM) and fords arent that reliable either, probably the worst record out of the big 3..... but they drive better than chevys and are more suited for work

  • @chinchillawrangler you may have had a bad experience, but my 2004 F-350 has started up for work everyday since I took delivery in 03. so your comment about not being reliable, and being last in the big 3 is complete bullshit.

  • @flamineon7, if thats all your pulling then switch to a straight half ton... you dont need a heavy duty to pull a damn boat.. heavy duty means exactly that, HEAVY thats why they use 4:11 in heavy duty trucks, with a straight 1/2 you get your 3:73, it will just your milage close to 20's pulling to around 15. hell we got 13 with our half ton pulling a 36' fifth wheel camper. you need to look into things before you buy them.

  • @allischalmer55 umm.. im a chevy fan. but i like ford for their powerstroke. u dont have to downgrade chevy

  • yeah that thing and when broke it sure to cost a pretty penny i give it at least 2 years of being used before it probably breaks

  • its just an option! geese

  • I can see this really being good, but I can also see how this could really backfire and put alot of 2011 buyers in the poorhouse when this thing breaks.

Go over an object that's a little too big by accident, and you're screwed, or go in water misjudging the depth a little bit, and you're screwed. Or what about when the transmission itself goes bad, do you have to replace the genstat unit also? Is it all reliant on each other, or interchangable?

Alot of questions to be answered.

  • thats mike row on dirty jobs right...

  • yes

  • You guys at Ford have finally won me over. With a live PTO I could go with a hydraulic winch for self recovery and not have to tap into my powfer steering fluid pump. What would be really nice is if I could get the hydraulic pump from the dealership as an extra.
