  • Beautiful! :-)

  • The Littlest Hobo dog was a hero, a dog amongst dogs, a dog's dog if you know what I mean. In fact I think he is now considered to be a DogSaint

  • @noordinarykat I'm sure you're right!

  • Thanks- I'll msg you with the strum.

  • cool uke

fantastic song to play on it too! yah!

  • Thanks- I ruined it by stringing it with wound concert strings, and now it is relegated to being an "art object".

  • Thanks for the link.

  • Thanks.

    I'll send you a link.

  • beautiful!

  • Yes- the song and the show are (or maybe "were" is better) quite popular here in Canada.

  • best so far

  • Yay!

  • NIce voice... my favourite version :)

  • Thank you so much!

  • Hi

    very great!

  • Thanks!

  • Wish you could hobo-it-down to Indiana this weekend. . :(

  • Me too.

    Me too.

  • Thank you for bringing back so many memories of my favourite 80s shows! I love all your clips. I wish they'd release the Edison Twins on DVD.

  • Thank you for the kind comment!

  • Beautiful, i am so gonna have to go buy a uke

  • Do it!

  • hahaha what memories

  • You have a very sweet voice, and the uke really brings something special to the performance. Great job.

  • Hell yeah! You destroyed that shit on that tiny stringed instrument.

  • lol- thank you!

One should never underestimate the mighty uke.

  • I generally hate any version of this song apart from the original theme song; however, your version is very nice.

The uke is unusually and surprisingly appropriate for the song, although I think you let it overpower your voice.

This is a song that, in my opinion, needs to be sung with gusto, especially the line "That's hobo style."

It's quite good as-is, but I think you could greatly improve your rendition by preforming the full song and really belting it out... (continued below)

  • ... really belting it out... you've got a nice voice, don't be afraid to use it.

Though in your description you mention that the song makes you feel melancholy. Personally I find it very liberating. I like being alone on the road, never making permanent friendships. That's why I feel it needs to be sung with gusto, but if you wish to portray the song as melancholic, I would slow it down if I were you.

I don't mean to seem critical, I'm just trying to help one portrayal of a magnificent song.

  • Wow! Thanks for all the feedback. When I was a little kid the song and opening sequence made me feel a little bit sad; I felt bad for this sweet little dog that was always helping people out but never found a home of his own.

  • yep that's what i mean there's about five verses i listened to your other tunes too i think your really good and have a great voice

  • p.s think you should do the whole song xx

  • You mean there's more??

  • the best one I've herd yet apart from the original tune your amazing love it brought a tear to my eye

  • i think you have to be heartless or cyril sneer to not get stirred up listening to this theme tune

  • awesome

  • thanks

  • I Really like this. It's sweet like something from Juno :-)

  • That's very nice of you- thank you!

  • loved it :)

  • Good job.

  • 5 Stars. Takes me back, about 15 years. Cheers.

  • Thanks!

  • Great job! Can you do the Original (1960s)version too? Thank you.

  • The 60s!! That's before my time! I'll have to look it up...

  • nice :D

  • i love this song. starring london yesssssss

    Simple and sweet.

    A pleasure to listen.

  • Thanks. I love the Littlest Hobo.

  • That's so nice!love the show, and haunting song... Aaaah!! Thanks for reminding me of my childhood hopes and dreams... to be a hobo.

  • That little dog must have inspired thousands of impressionable youth to become hobos!

  • Very cool... /nostalgia :)

  • Very sweet song!

  • Thank you for saying so.

  • i've never seen or heard of the show but that was a great little song.

  • Thanks, russ. Maybe you and Corser should check it out.

  • i just looked up some info on the show. corser is our little hobo, but not the kind that helps people in need. unless they have a pocket full of bacon:)

  • You REALLY should re-record this using your Northern uke. I mean, c'mon! :)

  • I am waiting for the strings to come in... and I think my first song on the Northern is going to be "The Log Driver's Waltz". Now there was some quality NFB stuff back in the day.

  • You are a star! Makes me want to learn to play the ukelele...

    su

  • Thank you! And I totally recommend learning to play ukulele. Do it!

  • YAY!

I only know of this song (and show) from "Corner Gas". Great singing!

This outdoor setting fits your voice very well. Very intimate sound without the echo of the indoors. your voice was sweet and clear!

  • Thanks, Alan. You have to see the actual opening for the show- that dog has got some mad skillz.

  • Cool! I didn't know he could play the ukulele!

  • Lovely performance. 5 from me.

    KEN

  • Nice job. Very cool uke too.

  • thanks, deach- I got it for $10 on ebay. I won't say how much the shipping cost.
