@OwensMusic1 Woah jackass, why don't you look two comments down at my correction. I left my original post because I didn't think it was going to get heckled but apparently I was wrong about that also. @supersingerevan already pointed out my mistake but at least did it without being disrespectful. I guarantee you I know more JM facts than you do so don't challenge that. I'm not saying I'm a stalker I'm saying give me a break for my typo. If you reference my corrected comment you'll see why...
Hey I'm a young artist, and I really would like everybody to check out my original ballad on my channel entitled "Why Can't I Live in Your Heart." It's a quiet storm ballad that sounds sounds like a cross between Boyz II Men's "End of the Road," Mariah Carey's "Can't Let Go," and Vanessa Williams' "Save the Best for Last."
he is very intense & different every time.he's like a chameleon.i remember him few years back & he's completely another person.i like it.i'm curious what's coming next&&&&i love this album.
@cassandre2468 im pretty sure it was just before, after, or during the process of making the Heavier things album since it's part of the song title "home life" (he has the part that says home on the same place on the other arm...it's kinda hidden by the sleeve tattoo but you can see it clearly on the where the light is dvd...)
@cassandre2468 If you're talking about the "Life," tattoo, I'm pretty sure he's had that for a long time now. His left arm, which is now covered in a 3/4 sleeve, has "Home," on the tricep opposite to the right which has "Life." If you've caught it by now it reads Home Life, which is one of the tracks of his first major record, Room For Squares. There's your fun fact of the day haha!
@supersingerevan Yeah you're right. I realized I wrote this all wrong after the fact of submitting it but I just didn't bother deleting it and resubmitting it. It was only a matter of time before I was corrected! Haha but looking back on it, I wrote room for squares because in my mind I had Home Life and Great Indoors mixed up (for whatever reason??)! Haha, but yeah, simple mistake, I should have corrected it but oh well. Thank youuu!
@OwensMusic1 I accidentally said Room for Squares instead of Heavier Things. But seriously back off with your ever-infinite John Mayer wisdom 'cause I guarantee I can answer whatever you ask; but than again I might not trust your question seeing as you're being critical of me for making a mistake about an album (an album of which I actually knew the correct answer; and order of the tracks of all his releases) when you can't spell correctly. I'll get right on getting my facts "STRAIT." ...
@OwensMusic1 I'll make sure all of my facts are an, "Ancient land bridge possibly existing when ocean levels were lower theoretically allowing humans to migrate from Siberia to Alaska. This migration allowed by the Bering Strait from Eurasia to North America would be the explanation for the majority of the populations in North & South America." I will make very, very sure that this happens kind sir! Why don't you get your spelling STRAIGHT. Sucker; ever heard that song? One of JMs early tunes...
@OwensMusic1 from his days at Berklee. That school in Boston he went to for two semesters where he inevitably left for _______, __ (Insert City, State) with his friend and current Zac Brown Band member ____ ____ (Insert First/Last names.) This same person also co-wrote No ____ _____ & ___ on ___ ____ (Insert song titles using given words.) John Mayer recently played a show in April for _____ _____ with _____ _____ and _____ ________ on drums (Athlete/Artists); where he debuted ___ new song(s).
@surfer1211 DUDE WHAT THE FUCK IS YOUR PROBLEM? i was just letting you kow. i didn't realize that you corrected. it! shut the fuck up i don't need an essay telling me that you have anger problems. I have studied everything john mayer has done. I am a huge fan of his. these questions you gave to me were not well written and i will answer them if you re-write it. but seriously, seek help!
@OwensMusic1 Btw the questions I'm asking you are really basic so don't get them all right than be like, "wow that's the best JM trivia you got blah blah..;" and don't go Google Searching the answers, if you do you have no pride. Go ahead and call me insane for sending this multi-paged rant but it pisses me off so much when someone has to be a jackass about a typo; and after I corrected myself! Maybe if you did some research and looked a few comments down you would have seen my conversation...
@OwensMusic1 with @supersingerevan about the mistake I made. But you're too lazy to scroll down less than half a page; you saw a mistake someone made and saw your opportunity to "set that dumb ass STRAIT." You were gonna STRAIT-en them out for not knowing that Home Life was on Heavier Things not RFS. Whatever man, I'm done, call me crazy but I'm fucking pissed because of dumb asses like you. But I absolutely LOVE how you made a (dumb) error correcting "an error." You sure are brilliant, Owen.
@OwensMusic1 Plus now I feel bad blowing up this John Mayer video. It's like I cluttered it up; and it's all due to your dumbass correction; or actually your BRILLIANT correction. Once you respond (if you do, you might feel to superior to respond to an inferior, idiotic, non-John Mayer-album track listing-knowing ignoramus) I'll most likely delete them. I really love JM and his tunes and it bothers me that some punk needs to correct my one mistake floating in a sea of facts and comprehension..
I know that there is zero chance of you reading this but if you ever do stumble upon this. Thank you. My name is Elya. I started playing guitar when i was 7, my dad got me my first guitar when i was 8 and ive been playing ever since. When i was 13 i saw you play "Who did you think i was" with your trio on Ellen. That was when i fell in love with you. Im at a point in a my life where ive had too many ups and downs. Im 16 years old, my dream is to be like you,
to hopefully play like you. There are people that believe in me, but more people doubt me. Ive been trying to remain optimistic, but its so damn hard. I feel like im at the War of My Life ( notice the refrence to your song?) You are my hero. Please help.
John Mayer will never make anything better than the Continuum, and Battle Studies has really proven that point. There's just no way. I'm a huge JM fan, but I think many of us were disappointed in his latest album. It almost felt like this album was totally rushed, and it really backfired. Lyrics weren't as powerful, melody was average at best, and it was just felt like it was very different. But then again it's what we should have expected after an album that was perfect from top to bottom.
it's just different. i wasn't disappointed I really enjoyed it. sometimes our taste in music and our ears are too spoiled. battle studies is to allow a different part of mayer be shown to us from what he's been going through at the time.
@tmonkeypunch Umm nice point of view, but, that's yours only. John said himself that he doesn't want to create another Continuum. All his albums are to be loved for different reasons not to be compared. They are all different how can you compare them and say he let us down this album? This album is obviously a pop album and is to be cherished by people who enjoy pop music. Continuum is a blues inspired record that was produced to make it sound perfect. All in all, John is trying to be different.
@SonicMentality True, everyone is held to their own opinion, but just comparing this album to the other ones combined (not just Continuum), lyrics were very weak. Setting aside whether the popish genre was better or not, John could have done a better job on the lyric work. He's done such an awesome job so many times in his first three albums, some have questioned whether he really put the time and energy on this one. To his standards, I think it fell short.
@kramer893 Its probably an SM58 Beta TI. Which is the high class version that is pretty standard for full band recording. Besides its the equipment that the sound is processed through that makes the sound.
@avidgolfer08 It's also the quality of diaphragm in the microphone, especially in mics that use all analogue parts, if they're crappy parts, the sound quality will suffer before it gets to any A to D converters.
And JM's band isn't exactly the "standard" band....as far as needing a quality recording is concerned.
John Mayer = EPIC!!!!! Thumbs up to that one...
