  • BELIEVE IN ANTI COMFORMITY AND THE DOOM OF EUROPE

  • CLINICAL DEATH

  • I live in noisy London and have been using in ear plug noise cancelling at day and ear plugs at night, my ear canal is very very very uncomfortable.

So I just got a Bose QC3, cancel out 30% general noise and 70% background noice, not as effective or enjoyable even compare to cx200ii.

was thinking of e2c but I prefer a bassy one, seems like this is not. nice review! you are awesome

  • I watched till 4:28 just random I clicked this, I was not even interested in this but your speaking skills are so good. nice job here with this

  • I have Shure's 530 and the wires are fragile, not flexible enough and of low quality. Shure should use "noodle" type headphone wires, not the cheap low grade wires they use.At least offer detachable wires(like the high end in ear customs).

Among the expensive in ear,Shure are thye most fragile ...due to bad quality wires! A shame, they should make the upscale models in Japan where quality and quality...control is much higher.

  • Yes earphones and the cords wear. They are in a yucky part of your body. Earwax, sweat, body oil, and dirt just wear your earphones hard. Some people just have 'bad' ear chemistry, and degrade the electronics quicker. Shure will replace your earphones in the event of failure at no charge within the warranty, after the warranty its a flat fee. Reduced cost, and you get a brand new pair.

The E2 are base model, E3, E4 are single balanced armature, E5 is dual, E500 or SE530 are triples.

  • flat-rate works well for higher end headphones. but the base rate for out of warranty e2c's was $50. these sell new for about $60 now.

  • Nice review

  • by the way i listen to kpop and other random crap. is it good for that?

  • yo dude how are the microphonics on these ?

thats like do u hear thumping if u tap the cable

  • Nice headsets, but I think you're wearing it wrong. I'm also getting the E5C.

  • im thinking about getting these or the beats by dr dre in ear which would you recommend i m looking for good sound and good noise isolation or cancellation which one does it better please help thanks

  • the wires on these headphones finally started breaking on me. i wouldn't recommend shure headphones anymore.

  • @s2200honda funny that the video is completely the opposite xD

  • I have several Shure in ear headphones all the way to the 530 and I am very disapointed with the cable quality! They break faster than $20 units!

Shure better get their game on and replace the mediocre wires with flexible(memory free) wires.

  • you should be a pitchman

  • hey man, im considering getting these OR the new dr dre in-ear headphones. do u know anything about those kinds? and if you do, could u compare them and give me your opnion on what you should get??

    thanks!

  • the wires on these headphones near both ears started splitting. the plastic around the wire gets brittle. i'd pass on these headphones now.

  • WELL WHAT TYPE OF MUSIC DO YOU LISTEN TO?! That would help.

  • Shure E2cs work well with electronica, acoustic, hip-hop, metal, pop, basically anything.

  • The cord on my bose in-ear headphones fell apart on me :(

  • Shures are built awesomely. I've had mine for a couple of years now and it's been through so much wear and tear and trauma but no damages. It even got 'eaten' by my automatic vacuum once and it was all twisted but after half an hour of untwisting, it turned out perfectly fine!

  • ...had shure e3... and sadly to say they were an expensive disappointment. nice SPL but way too much mids and had that weird water running through a plastic pipe effect...

  • Awesome review thank you so much for the post every question I had about the scl2 was answered in this video.

    Regards,

    Drew.

  • can any earphones or headphones work on a ipod ????????? plz reponse

  • to my knowlage yes they do

just make sure they have the same plug, but I don't think that any headphones have done anything weird, just to clean it up the Shure line all work in ipod

  • yea

  • ..Yeah.

  • Thanks a lot for this review, really good stuff

  • does any of the shure come with inline volume control ?

  • I had Shure E2 and later on E5. Then I switched to Ultimate Ears Super-fi 5 pro which were so much better than the E5. Now I have M-Audio IE-40 which are triple driver per earphone and sound nothing short of amazing. They even outperform the Grado RS2 in detail and neutrality. Soundstage for an IEM is excellent though full size cans give better results in that respect. I use them for everything including classical and even for mixing.

  • "the kinda of music i listen to i find it acceptible"

what music are you into man?

  • along with many posative reviews of the

e2c's i got a pair. never looked back they are awsome! had some other

'in-earphones' sony ones and these ones blow them away. re ripped all my songs on itunes 320kbps to hear the full benefit of the added quality! great review thanks for recomending them =D

  • I bought the E2C's, and I really like them, but I really want to try out the kramer mod on them (google it.) I hear that being modded, the E2C's sound as good as the e4c's.

  • brilliant review

i'm definatly considering buying some new earphones later this year, and shure seems to be the best way to go!

  • Hey dude nice review, i am going to be using these headphones for my ipod. Basically i have a lot of my music in WAV form, will the mp3's also sound better?

  • e2c cables are junk

  • yep i have had them for a half a year and i got them fixed once so i gave up and left shure

  • Excellent review! Thank you!

  • great review

  • r the rubber ones like a siocone??

  • great review, I think I'm gonna buy them

  • the bass i think is the most interesting part. a lot of headphones or speakers apply bass to everything. so that even parts that were not intended to have bass have them. on these earphones the bass emphasis is on bass instruments like kick drum and bass guitar. its a loud bass but very specific; its the way the artist intended you to hear it. i know a lot of ppl just like giant amounts of bass in general. these dont provide that.

  • your exactly right

  • that was a good review. i have already bought them and theyre on their way. i did not know u had to wrap them around your ear like that. i dont know if i like that.

  • hey brothere. you know what headphone is best in marked now? i need for me creativ zen mp3.pliz help me!

  • MP3 players are a bit limited in the sound range which they can produce. You don't need an expensive Shure headphone because the Zen will not do it justice, neither will an iPod for that matter but the later does produce better sound. I'm really happy with my Sony NW-HD5 Walkman in combination with the Sony MDR-EX85LP headphone which I bought for €40,-

My point: Shure is better, but both our mp3 players aren't.

  • ok m8, i try Sony MDR-EX85LP lokks good

  • i had them there graet lacking base but nice mids and highs and also mine stopped working because the connection stopped working

  • Hey bro, what do you think if comparing this to SCL2?I'm confused...I wanna buy Shure.Best and Unique design..

  • Well, guess what I'm buying when I get the money.

  • Wait, did you only watch the start of the video? he mentions the packaging for like 5 seconds then goes on to what's in the packaging. Great review you've convinced me.

  • can you read the title correctly?

  • How much bro. I want some bad :)

  • nice headphones! im getting the scl3 ^^

  • hahaha this guy has obviously never heard of Ultimate Ears!!

  • pfft, Ultimate ears is inferior to shure.

  • that's pathetic

  • you are pathetic. I can explain along way why ultimate ears is inferior.

  • you can't even speak english you twit

  • pfft, more like you can't understand slightly more complicated english?

  • when you speak broken english you look like the idiot... not the person forced to interpret.

  • of course that i broken right...the only thin i can seeis my typo of along which is suppose to be a long.

  • ok then, read what you just wrote... and think about it... and when you figure out what you meant by that garble, retype it to where everyone else can understand it.

  • "you are pathetic. I can explain a long way why ultimate ears is inferior." ( i correct typo) look , i can explain a long way, meaning i can go on explaining for a long time, to the fact taht ultimate ears is inferior. Do you understand english?

  • You complain about intelligence, when you're just trolling.

  • you have nice hands.

  • cracked wires on mine.

  • u got right n left mi

  • I guarantee ANY e2c cable will crack within 2 years

  • Mine are over 2 years old and they're still perfect...

  • ive just got my e2cs in the post, how the hell do i fit them in lol, on my last walkman earbud earphone thingys i had the small size buds, but on this theres so many, an so i try the small ones and its so tricky to fit in, then he told me which earphone is which LOL

  • Hey.. great video review.. How long had you had the earphones before you made this video?? The reason I ask is because I have read that these have a "break in" period where after the break in, the bass really comes alive and sounds amazing.. Just wondering because I just ordered the SCL2 which is pretty much the same thing, just improved wiring covering. Did the bass get better with time?? THanks

  • i'm not him, but i do have the e2cs (i wactched this review using them, hah). they DO burn in.

at first they sound a little grainy, and a little muddy, both bass and treble, the mid doesnt change much. the bass, with time, will get better, in my opinion. it gets a little deeper, a little more clear, and a little more punchy. again, in my opinion, but for me they got noticably better after about 20 hours of straight continuous play, or about a full day and night of being plugged into my ipod.

  • -oh, and i returned my e2cs after the cable cracked (excellent service- about 4-5 months with recipt, no questions asked.), and i got a new package of scl2's. they wre exactly identical as far as i could tell.

  • i bought a bose in-earphone but wasn't too happy with it, so i decided to replace it with the the shure SE100 for 99.99cad, but i am not sure if its any good or better? can some help me?

  • geez so many pieces for just some headphones. i would find that annoying, i just wanna put them in my ear and listen to music. simple

  • mine are better

  • this dude is completly right!!!

their the best headphones out their

for the money. Way better than bose

big bulky or in ear headphones.

  • mine are skull candys and take out so much sound you dont even hear the sound at all outside and not only that the bass is loud and deep and bang and there just 14.00 so those right there are not as good as mine ok yeah so my head phones are better

  • snazzy black case!

  • nice review

  • These are quite nice earphones, but if you've got a bit more money, go with the new shure se210.(don't bother with the se110, i don't think they're worth it) they sound is much crisper, bass is has a bit more response. i am planning on getting the top of the line shure se530 or a bit lower the se420. trust me, anything se310 above are absolutely amazing. se210 is a bargain for the sound and quality given.the se110 is a bit costy for the quality given. also, ALWAYS GO WITH NOISE ISOLATION!!

  • if ur after sound quality, go for ultimate ears. the only thing good about shure is its high end sound and its durability. theres no extended bass on any of the shure earphones.. even the se530, compared to the ultimate ears 5 pro.

  • i have to disagree. Ok look, the shure se310 has a VENTED precision balanced armature, that's ENHANCED bass already. And the Se420 and Se530 don't need enhanced bass, they produce enough bass already. se420 has a woofer itself and the se530 has two woofers. Why would u need enhanced bass? the major problem with ultimate ears is that it's far too bass heavy...nothing sounds up to Shure's sound quality except within the categories of heavy metal and rock.

  • ok, even though they have a vented balanced armature, the bass is piss weak. if u actually compare the 2 with different types of cds on a proper amp, u can clearly tell the differece. the shures surely have clearer treble extensions, bright, clear levels of volume, but they are missing the weight of the bass. theres 2 types of bass, ear bass and chest bass, with the shures, its only ear bass, which overall screws up its tonality. its lacking in all three of the mid, sub and extended bass ranges.

  • Shure's goal is to produce the the bass "AS CLOSE TO THE ORIGINAL SONG" as possible. Unlike ultimate ears, which produces bass to make the song sound More bassy. And truly, Shure does not miss a single high of "mid". I could probably agree to that if you're talking about the se110, but the Se210 and up just doesn't miss a single high or mid, the se420 and se530 are no where near to not reaching the lows.

  • I agree with FelixAZNballer, The Ultimate ears are definitely one of the Top of the Line Earphones, But when it comes to producing the highs and mid's it tramples the UE's. The bass of the Shure Se110 are pathetically tiny, but the Se210 and se310 are reasonable and acceptable, the se420 and se530 just don't miss a part on the lows. The ultimate ears produces lots of bass, but when i turn down the bass on the equalizer to make it more balanced in my opinion, the high's just don't matches shures.

  • But when i put the bass up for the shures, the bass is just as powerful as the UE's without losing any of the clarity and Sound quality of the high's and mids. Overall i think shure wins cuz if you find the bass weak, you could just turn the lows up without interfering with the high's and mid's, but on the other hand, the UE's, when you turn the bass down, since the highs and mids never came to the quality of the shure's, the shure's would sound better. Just showing my point.

  • The earphones are junk, honestly, dont buy them. For the same monet, id go for the jbls or the cx 300. The bass is almost non existent. For crystal clear highs, only the new shures se 310, 420, and 530 are great. Try kilpsch as well.

  • I have these and today they BROKE! but any way there the best ear buds I have EVER had!

  • they are not 400 dollars...they're less than 100...MSRP is 110 USD.

  • they are earphones not headphones

  • i my veiw i love Um1 more the E2C but thanks for your sharing

  • thanks you for your review, did you compare your phones to ultimate ears 3 studio?

  • ep800, E3C , bose tripot are better, e2c came out like 3 years ago

  • hey my e2c wire hardens after a while, making it susceptible to crack formations along the wire, especially around the ear. do you know, by any chance, how i can prevent that on my new e2cs that are gonna be sent by shure from warranty?

  • You could try rubbing in the wire with something greasy, like oil once in a while. Just smear it on them and wipe the excess of with a tissue. It will hopefully prevent the rubber from drying out. :)

    ~Unquestionable

  • Very nice man,I'll be buying some of these as soon as I have the money.

  • Thanks for the Demo, E550 on the of shipping for me :)
