It's easy to forget how badass the music was in C&C games. Best soundtrack in the RTS genre as far as I know.

Wooooow! Epic flashback :O) There is some Rammstein and Metallica in there for sure. How i miss the times where video games were constantly changing and evolving. Somehow, old games from the C64 and the Amiga

, are still super fun to play. It seems we see so little change and free thinking in games theese days. Like Portal 1&2 for example. It´s more about ´following the forumula´ that works and SELLS. Sadly. Kinda like Pop music.

@thomasoring I agree. If there's one thing the C&C series is known for, it's NOT sticking to the same basic formula in practically every game. If there's another thing the series is known for, it's NOT making a shedful of cash with each new release. The majority of game developers stick to a winning formula. The really original games are what we call "classics" today, and it's easy to forget that they made up maybe 5% of the games of their time. And a lot of them had a shit-ton of sequels too.

Talk about a classic. I still lovingly remember how the allies had basically no air, their strongest tank had half the firepower of the soviets weakest, and, bottom line, no tesla coil, and yet still won with cruisers and GPS. Still duking it out with Warcraft II for the best RTS ever made. Nothing else comes close. Thanks for posting the song!
