@jeff61177 Hello, thanks for your comment, but actually I cannot remneber my comment here. I can remenber other xing-yi or tai-chi movies and my commnet.
Anyway I think your ideas about xing-yi and tai-chi are right on theory, thank you.
@jeff61177 true to some extent, but the objectives of both are quite different so it depends on what you are looking for. xingyi stresses practicality and combat. taichi more on defense and health.
@jeff61177 for sure, cause it has the most arrogant sounding name for a martial art...hehe....but i am referring to the situation now. then again if you simply compare the forms that are practiced in xingyi and taichi, you will see that xingyi has a definitely more aggressive approach. just look at the way xingyi places so much emphasis on strikes. taichi has far more parries and leading movements.
@ratchadapalazzo i think "great ultimate" or "great extreme" refers more to the limits of the human body-mind than to the greatness of the style. tai chi practitioners seek to have no limits, or at least very great ones.
Yiquan comes from Xingyiquan...directly.

@shujiminato 因为太极是纯粹的内部。兴义混合内部和外部创造破坏力元素。

@lixxveron 10 years of study in tai chi amount to only a beginning, but just one year of xing yi quan can be deadly.

@ratchadapalazzo tai chi was origionally meant for combat as well. the health aspect of it has only arisen in recently.
