Kenan Malik is a very clever, well read and politically hardened man. Murray doesnt have a patch on Kenan's credentials, education or eloqence, though Murray is well spoken and often polite in person. Murray does foray into bizzare tirades against Muslims, rather than just Islamists. If Murray really did just mean Islamists who want to blow people up, then he has had plenty of scope to make that clear in his other work. I find it hard to believe he just means violent citizens.
