  • (Our was from 2000 or 2001. It had a V10 engine! I always wondered why my friend's parent's cars sounded so quiet and smooth.

  • We used to have one of these. I think it was the limited edition 2000 or 2001 Exursion. It was a Ford so it didn't drive that well, and it was very unsafe, but as a passenger, well, it's SO NICE.

  • Why is this epic car discontinued?

  • lol sounds like my ole school bus

  • It would be so cool to see a 2012 excursion

  • That was fun Kyle. Gotta love those diesels.

  • It looks like a chevy suburban!

  • @ shifter99 ur a dumb ass if it would come in stick It would suck this is not made to be fast it's a nice luxury car not a gay ass Honda

  • If only it came in Manual, lol.

  • @Shifter999 or semi-auto, lol

  • @Shifter999 I thought they did, I have a 2003 f350 king ranch thats stick. the excursion is basically an f350 with a canopy and an extra rear seat

  • im almost 14 and i want this as my vehicle in a few years, dont care about the gas

  • @kawasaki1247 I'm the SAME WAY!!!!

  • the transmission on the 2000-2005 2004-present (Brazil) Ford Excursion

    Transmission

    4-speed automatic

    5-speed automatic

  • Had one of those in the school shop the other day. They are HUGE. I'm 6'2 and am usually taller than every vehicle. Oh, no, not the Excursion.

Are jacks barly held the thing. Not to mention it's the longest vehicle i've seen in person. Except for a '79 Lincoln. :D

The guy got it for only 8500. I want one.

  • Fat, ugly Americans and their Over-the-top powerful mammoth vehicles. I love it! Of course, this belongs in the hands of a true stallion such as I.

  • If I didn't know better I'd say you were being a smartass when you said "Gotta love the sound of your diesel" haha.

  • 4 people drive Prius's

  • is that the same engine thats in a international T444E school bus... they sound identical

  • @super87cole International VT365. T444E is a 7.3L

  • @strumem90 ohhh god dammit i just realized thee 7.3 is a 444 CI =T444E sorry to be pain lol

  • dress like a man not like a little hippie fagot

  • whats eddie bauer

  • @01stingfan really fancy expensive store ford did a version of trucks like high end luxary trucks named after him

  • Last Ford Excursion i drove was the paramedics excursion lol and it had some get up and go in her

  • Sounds alomost like a Blue Bird Yellow School Bus lol!

  • 6:36 oh shit quick Kyle fill her up before she runs out

  • @grinnellalarms is on a quarter tank?

  • One of my favorite SUVs

  • alot of shaking

  • What's the title of the music in the radio?

  • @SupahEXPE00 scar tissue-red hot chili peppers

  • @bp0819 thanks a LOT man!

  • i drive a 2011 stang' and the excursion to this day is my favorite SUV of all time and had my brother had a excursion at his dealership i would of bought it instead of my mustang :)

  • Big and SLOW!

  • sounds like a school bus...lol

  • @romaniandudeee Why whouldn't?lol they use the same engines.

  • My favorite Ford car/truck/SUV

  • i think its 700 miles

  • Diesels FTW

  • omg.. 44 gallon fuel tank, thats almost 200 european liters =O i have 55 liters haha, which means if i hade this thing here in swe with our gas prices, about 440usd just to have full tank

  • Man...I wish Ford still made them. I don't give a shit if I'm paying gas out the ass.

  • this thing screams GET THE FUCK OUTTA THE WAY

  • @grinnellalarms more like ... i'm american !...

  • I'm an environmental kind of guy, but I must admit that it did look rather fun to drive.

  • the guy that made a thumbs down probably drives a Prius haha

  • that thing is a behemoth...no wonder why they quit making them

  • this thing is HUGE...the expeditions are big enough whats the need for the excursion?!!

  • i love your videos but they take way too long to load.

  • You know your driving a tank right?

  • One of my friends has this exact excursion modded up to 425 hp and around 800ft pounds of torque to the wheels. Its scary to sit in a 9000 pound vehicle that can go 0-60 in around 6 seconds.

  • this car is very spacious and comfortable and has a good engine, but its just too ugly

  • Man this is a nice truck.. It's too bad they discontinued it - The Expedition EL just doesn't cut it. This is a truck. I like the '01 Limited with the 6.8L Gas. I'm not saying I don't like the sound of a Diesel..;) Too bad you don't have this truck in MN, especially without the rust on the under body. Salt is terrible on trucks up here..

  • i like your vids. You just gotta stop playing the stereos; it sounds like crap through youtube anyway.

I understand you playing the stereo during the review, but during the test drives it sounds really bad dude

  • @almaster666 he hasn't done test drives in over a year due to the fact that he mostly does knew vehicles now so u won't have to worry about that anymore.

  • Lol jk

  • Its only 859,000 miles idiot!

  • @speedymac102 your brain dead aren't you

  • Too loud and noisy for me. I'd rather have the Escape

  • For a second I thought the beepers were going to play the USA national anthem when he put the key in the ignition... Shame they can't sell these in the UK..

  • These must be some pre-historic diesel in this one, sounds like a truck.

  • I'd wish that I lived in USA, cause you can actually drive these without looking like a complete jerk...

  • @KillanatorVids were do u live that would make u look like a jerk in one of these. and why?

  • @riederernicholas95 well, I don't know about Killanator, but I live in Norway, and if you live in the suburbs or in the city, you would look redicolus driving one of these.. There are a lot of these older american SUVs in rular areas where they need cars like that, but if you live in suburban areas and need a 4x4, most people buy 4x4 station wagons (Volvo V70/XC70 Passat 4x4, Scoda Octavia/Scout etc) or crossover SUVs like Nissan Quasquai, Mitsubishi Outlander, peugeot 3008, honda crv, vw tiguan

  • tripod in the back seat???? lol jk

  • i sooo want one of these or an f350 dualy king ranch but have heard HORROR stories on that 6.0 ltr powerstroke... and not knowing how to fix them and they look crammed in their lol.. i just kinda fear buying one... any ideas what to look out for? also why do the manual hubs always seize up?

  • @suncruiser00 the 6.0s are known for blowing head-gaskets because of excessive heat and badly designed head bolts (torque to yield). Under normal maintenance, they can go a long ways. Your best bet though, is to pull the cab off the chassis, and replace the head gaskets, HPOP, and use ARP head studs to complete the rebuild. If you do this, they will go even longer with no problems. run good fuel in them, and change your filters often! (continued to other reply)

  • @suncruiser00 and as for the hubs, they are automatic locking hubs (vacuum) with manual back-up. You don't have to manually lock your hubs on a Super Duty if you have electronic 4x4 (turn dial on the dash as apposed to manual lever on floor). They rarely fail or seize, but if they do, I recommend replacing with Warn Standard or Premium replacement manual lockers....good luck! :D

  • I love these so much. They are so strong and look great. They make you feel great. But really id rather have an Expedtiton.

  • my brothers say it is 7.3 liter

  • @macbrownman nope they stoped the 7.3 liter on 2003 and they brought in the 6.0 liter in 2004-2005 the last year of production for the ford excursion would be in 2005 U.S.- 2006 in mexico (check wikipedia, type in ford excursion and look in the gray box for specs)

  • i hope that Ford continues the Excursion soon. hopefully they're doing what Dodge did, discontinue a vehicle for a while then bring it back full blown ready to kick some ass.

  • @FilAm4494 you are right

  • $200 to fill up holy fuck

  • @NyCFrEsH100 my moms 01 navigator get 11 mpg and its 200 dollars to fill it up

  • @FilAm4494 yea MAN. IMAGINE THIS THING WITH THAT NEW 6.7 400 HP 800 LB- FEET OF TOURQUE POWERSTROKE :)

  • @FilAm4494 they won't, the reason these will not be coming back is because most people belived they were impractical, because for some people they couldn't back them up worth a darn, they were not economical, so for those people who think saving the environment can only be done by buying a smaller car won'y buy them, they were expensive, they were 50 - 70 thousand dollars, so average joe would not buy one, and finally, they have introduced the expedition max! so sadly its not coming back :(

  • Comment removed

  • @FilAm4494 but the only thing is that alot of people are buying smaller crossovers and smaller suv's because the excursion is a monster

  • @FilAm4494 and what car that might be.. the callenger??

  • 3 people are vegetarians

  • @Donaldk52796 make that 4 vegetarians

  • $176 to fill this bitch up, folks. Holy shit.

  • I have a 6.0 excursion. if your looking for a reliable. extremely useful, powerful and versitle vehichle. get one and check out my vids

  • my grandma"s got the 2004 Ford excursion 6.0L and the mpg sucks it gets 11.5 mpg when it used to be 14.5mpg:/

  • @Lacoff15 hmmm some thing is wrong I work on them all the time I many work on the 7.3 and the 6.0

change the fuel filler and change the air filter and see if that changes anything and let me know it that works

  • whos stuff is in the trunk

  • they never play slipknot in ny, dont know why, nice review

  • Red Hot Chili Peppers made this video even better!

  • Nice truck

  • That's a tank!

  • if you are on empty pulling into a gas station with gas prices now that would be $173.80. Depending on how you drive would be the ultimate factor

  • @jrisbak gota luv the sound of ur deisels and the money makin u broke at the pumps (:

  • @riederernicholas95 dont forget thats 900 miles though as the trusty salesman said lol.

  • Звук двигателя как у КАМАЗа.

  • REMEMBER: before turn off the engine with turbocharger you have to wait more less 30-40 seconds (better more then less). Turbocharger must to slow down. If you turn off the engine with a turbocharger working on higher revs, turbocharger will end it's force faster then it should.

Europeans love Common Rail engines (modern diesels) in all types of cars and trucks!

  • when i get home i park my house on it

  • how dare u turn down red hot chili peppers

  • is this a 7.3

  • @XvintageXsk8terX No its a 6.0 2004 and up are 6.0's if im correct.

  • "gotta love the sound of your diesel.." DAMN RIGHT DUDE :)

  • That sounds amazing.

  • Comment removed

  • the suv that you made a review on is not the same ride that you tested ????

  • so glad you did a review on this vehicle kyle, havent found a good test drive vid on these, thanks bud!

  • Cool ride!! The motor looks like a van xD!

  • keep this thing at about 2000 to 25000 rpms around 60-70 mph, you'll get 18.5 mpgs, so over 750 miles on one tank, thats my dads mileage on his 2005 ecursion limited

  • god damn that start up is sickkkk

  • Sounds like a school bus and is almost as big as the special kid buses

  • very nice, sounds like a good radio station too lol

  • the 2000-2005 Ford Excursion was assembled in

    Louisville, Kentucky, United States

  • Wow that is not fair! I want to test drive a POWERSTROKE!!

  • must be awesome driving something this huge

  • when you were setting up you should have just left it running

  • Fords are nice. My first & previous car was a 1995 Escort Wagon. My dad currently has a 2003 Explorer Sport Trac with 180k miles now & it's been very reliable, only had a few problems in the past 20k miles or so such as the alternator going out & such.

  • i Love Ford Excursions....nothing like an 8,000 Pound SUV with Tons of Muscle behind it.

  • @form109 Volvo FH16 is REAL beast

  • got 2 love the sound of a diesel

  • as usual good video! amazing car!

  • i wnat ur job...drvin car around ...

  • with that long of a wheel base and that engine i truly think i could pull anything with it

  • I love the sound of turbo kicking in on diesel engines

  • Hey, I get 15 towing a 5,000 pound trailer, so I get a avg of 600 miles to a tank with the 5,000 pound trailer, but I get 23 on the Highway with 7 people, and all of their camp equiptment. But Loaded! I mean come on, you don't have th buckets in the 2nd row, or in dash GPS, and does it even have a DVD player?

  • Hey, I get 15 towing a 5,000 pound trailer, so I get a avg of 600 miles to a tank with the 5,000 pound trailer, but I get 23 on the Highway with 7 people, and all of their camp equiptment

  • How was it inside kyle? windows up noise? obviously if you have the radio going it wont be as bad......thx

  • Nothing like the sound of a pstroke, cummins, and zee duramax. Nothing beats these american trucks.

  • sounds like a school bus.. I love it!

  • I love the 6.0 L i have that motor in my F 2:50 2005 and man u have to give that thing the gas it will accelerate a lot quicker then that

  • REd hot chilli peppers yujuuuuuuuuu! 5:07

  • one of fords best built vehicles to date.

  • Thi was added 9 day's before my birtday. There's my present. I alway's wanted a Ford.

  • hey kyle message me i have a question with the excursion if u were to tow a trailer would u go with gas or diesel?

  • @shanepowey

Anyone would tell you "diesel" is the only way to go since we've passed the $1/ gallon days.

  • get your mind set!

  • blow some coal.....lol

  • I like your test drive videos

  • Whats the MPG on this thing?

  • @b747dude I think its 16 city/20hw with 23-24MPG being tops if driven right.

  • that thing is beautiful, deff a big ass suv. i would MUCH rather have a powerstroke than the v10 but the v10 gets the job done too. and for 85k miles that thing is in AWESOME shape.

  • this is probably one of my fav vids by far. love the excursions.

  • Oh no, green (wrong radiator fluid for that engine) in the the degas bottle...not a good looking future for that 6.0L

  • @bigdaveCP Green is better than the gold. The gold is particularly susceptible to cavitation if the SCAs aren't monitored. Ideally, any 6.0 should be running a high quality extended life coolant (ELC), such as what CAT makes or the Shell Rotella ELC (really is rebadged Fleetguard ELC).

  • @bigdaveCP why is green bad?

  • THATS silly that some one is going aroud givin' yall a thumbs down.... i give you FULL thumbs UP! LOL

  • Sounds awesome! I never though I would say that about an Excursion! I would rather have a Lincoln Navigator with that engine, though.

  • hey kyle my dad had one of these and drove it for 6 years loved it very roomy took it to disney 2 times, we live in texas so that is about a 16 hour drive and it did great i miss it so much, but now he has a caddy esaclade esv and now i love this one even more, im a big fan, pizzaman119

  • i think the can go like 700 miles on one tank

  • I love that diesel sound!

  • to me it look like you liked the ride

  • hey could you do a test drive of the durango?

  • 00:25 Poor Grand Marquis. :(

  • @mitchman2100 hahahahahaha lol

  • I always wanted one of these

  • this car useless idioticly big.

  • @McL4ren what does it matter.. the roads in america are useless idioticly big and wide too... :)

  • LOL . . . Did you say the f-word at 8:27??? If you did, I wouldn't blame you. My dad would do it too...

  • 900miles??? 44gallons, say 15mpg highway...thats only 660miles i believe

  • @nicks1258 well not exactly lol, I knew it was up there and that was assumed to be close but the very high end of it lol, that's probably around what it is lol

  • @nicks1258 those things get clost to 18 on the hwy

  • @nicks1258 how much is 660 miles in kilometers

  • @austinzk333 1061 km
