Great collection man! I used to collect model kits and RC cars. I have just started my Hotwheels&Matchbox collection last July and I already have 140 cars and still addicted to get more :-), well, much cheaper than model kits & RC :-) Small cars rule!!!!

@KFXG The store rack was give to me by a friend that worked at Canadian Tire around Christmas time. C.T. is a large chain store that sells mainly automotive parts and tools, as well as home building supplies. At Christmas they usually have seasonal sales of Hot Wheel cars, hence where and when this rack came from.

I love these cars, personally collect only models classics and I have some 300 cars, the bad things in my country vehicles of the basic size hotwheels are very expensive, worth $ 2 .00 to $ 2.25 usd, and the minimum wage in my country is from $ 210.00 usd. Greetings!

@skyboyph I am 100% a collector. I have never sold more then about 50 of my cars, and those were McDonalds cars I didn't want in my collection. Crappy plastic!

@wtffor McDonalds gave out some nice cars in the 80's. I have most all of them. Crappy today-YES! 80's?? NO WAY!!! they are worth some money. and if they were 'Hot Wheels', they were valueable anyway!

That's REALLY something!!! You've seriously got it done right. When you have all your drywall work completed, that room will be sacred ground. I know I'm definitely not crazy for putting my measly 400+ collection into Plano lure+tackle boxes for protection. I've also gotten into M2 / Muscle Machines, HO (Aurora ThunderJets+AFX, now Tomy; AutoWorld, +LifeLike) and SCX Compact and Carrera GO! 1/43 scale slot cars...and Hot Wheels' steroidal cousins - SIZZLERS, too!!

You should make a picture on the wall made of all those cars. Also, what every the base price of your cheapest cars are, I'd say multiply them by a MILLION. Nice collection. (Heh heh, they're worth more that Dally Parton's fake breast!)

@vespaT27 They are hard to find. Luckily there is a small hobby store downtown that sells them for me. I check it once a month and usually find some new ones. Other then that, I bought a lot of my older Johhny's at WalMart one year when strangly they got a huge one-time shipment of them. Try your local hobby stores, and don't be shy to ask them if they can bring them in!

@washburn182008 Thanks for the comment, the cases are hardware containers made by Plano and sold at Wal*Mart. I just remove the lids and hang them on the wall with two screws.
