You know what needs to happen? This being re-released on DVD or in theatres WITH all those scenes that were cut out from the original cuz I really want to see them. I do not care how old you are or how many times you see this, If you don't get chocked up when littlefoots mother died you have no heart :( . This movie has too many good memories with it and I will never forget it ever.

I saw this movie in theaters back in 1988 in november after thankgsiving dinner when i lived in Omaha, it rocked and saw it again. I also saw Oliver and Company at that age of 7 but three times one before thanksgiving, after thanksgiving and after christmas. I had some LBT merchandise like Land Before Time PVC toys from Sears, PJs for christmas, coloring books and a book including Pizza hut puppets.

The only sing along I remember in the original was ducky singing "don't step on a crack or you'll fall and break your back". It wasn't even a sing along, but still, that and the end credits song were the only songs with lyrics to them.

This is by far the movie that influenced my childhood the most. I spent all of my years learning about dinosaurs, collecting books about dinosaurs, talking about dinosaurs. Heck, I even sometimes buy dinosaur fossils today. This movie WAS in essence my childhood.

actually the first 1 was good because of bluth, infact if it were completelly up to speilberg and lucas the film wouldn't be the masterpiece it was (they wanted to take out littlefoot's mom dying which would have made the film not so good)

Oh man this was such a great movie. Too bad all it's glory was tarnished by all those unnecessary sequals. That series got more and more retarded with each sequal released. I don't remember why I kept buying them.

I agree 100%. I only bought the first one but it was because my mom could never afford to buy anymore for me and I think the only reason she bought it was cause we found it in the bargain bin in the early 90's. But it is the best one, and the way the sequals were made, it should have been the only one. As the sequals went on, I felt my IQ might drop steadily the more I watched.

They're still making more of these. They were good at first but the series and moves aren't as good anymore. After like the fith or sixth they weren't as good. The first will always be the best though!
