  • I do all my songs a cappelle, come take a look

  • I just wish the sound was better. Awesome rendition.

  • Magnificent.

  • * by snare i mean hihat.

  • AAAAAAH I can't find the downbeat! ACK.

Actually in the Bobby Darin vid (with the purple/pink/orange backdrop), the snare is on the offbeat. Weird. It just completely throws me off here, though. Maybe it's because the group vocals aren't loud enough in this recording.

  • ahhhhhh the beatboxer buts the hihat on the downbeat instead of the offbeat, NOT appropriate for the big band style

  • Great job!

    Good selection!

  • you're all amazing, and the soloist has an incredible voice!

  • haha wow you're amazing ! :)

  • These guys are sooo entertaining! Gotta love all of the background harmonies. :) Nice job guys!

  • They are mixing for the venue not for an internet medium. Give them some slack. Im sure it sounded awesome in the hall. Us mixing engineers get always kicked on pur butt because of recordings like this. Thaye were mixing for the crowd , not for us in the internet.

  • @EnigmaInPr - very true. Even if the videographer had done a live audio feed directly from the board, it wouldn't have sounded the way the internet world wants it to. I say an awesome job by all, on stage and backstage as well!

  • I dunno what people are talking about.. my ears are sensitive to pitch and I didn't hear the lead go off at all... stayed on quite well. Love this song, great job! :D

  • awesome

  • lead singer messed up a bit

  • no, it's just a few discordant notes. to an untrained ear, it sounds messed up.

  • when?

  • The singer is micced though... The leadsingers mic could have been turned up a bit when the background parts went to Forte and FF.

  • it is hard to hear the lead singer at times on this recording... he is getting too covered by the oohs and ahhing going on with the background parts. Otherwise, it is nice. The chords really ring.

  • My heroes. :) Make me laugh every time!

  • actually guys, the beat is RIGHT on. Listen to the version by Louis Armstrong. It's exactly how he takes it.

  • Most people are used to hearing percussion strike on the offbeat, not the downbeat. It took a few measures to get perfect, but we got there.

  • you spelled achordants wrong buddy

  • All of these comments mark the way I feel about everything the Anchordants sang. Except for carry on. Which was spot on.

  • sound is good. you guys are very talented, but from our perspective it sounds off the beat, especially in the beginning. Maybe we're not able to hear one of the rhythm lines?

  • To anybody interested, this arrangement and many others in the Achordants library are available online in Finale and PDF. Check my user playlists on YouTube to find the URL, since I can't seem to post links in the comments.

  • what is your myspace address

  • the sound is a bit off.. The beat sound to be off... But i'm sure thats only cause of the recording.. - These guys can really sing... And what a great producer! :)

  • AMAZING

  • The clefhangers have nothing on you guys! You're definitely the best group at UNC.

  • What a guy...what a group...both very special!

  • It's good vocally, but the timing of the lead singer is a bit fast. I don't know it was done on purpose, but it sorta takes the wit (if the use of that word makes sense) out of the lines.

  • Amazing. Amazing. Amazing. I could listen to your voice all day long. Will you date me?

Group sound is amazing. must be those fabulous guys and their fabulous music director.

    AMAZING.
