You know what's the problem with some of these FF series? They are pulling these ultimate bosses out of their ass, completely disregarding the main antagonist as mere pawn to their grander scheme, yet completely oblivious to the 99% of the storyline. But these guys are cosmic beings that can be vanquished, yet never die. I liked it better when Golbez was the badass. When Kuja went mad. And don't get me started on CoD and why she gets to be on the Dissidia instead of Xande.
I think the idea is most the times good made. I mean in Final Fantasy IV is the Boss Zemus manipulating Golbez all the time and hides in the mooins core. isn't that what a wise Boss does?
Shame on me, never played FF III so i don't know about this storry with the COD.
But in FF nine i think Necron is trouly a little randome. Perhaps they wannted to make a Neoexdeath like enemy place in the game, cause FF IX is like a kombination from 1-6 somehow...= )
All of the Final Fantasy games are the best, I'm tired of hearing a bunch of idiots flood a comments section of a video talking shit about one or the other. People like that are the reason why the stereotype has come up saying us gamers are a bunch of lifeless chronic masturbators. Final Fantasy 4 is unhateable, in my opinion.
is it just me or does it seem like every first run thru of every ff game (with the exception of players who like grinding and power leveling) that every final boss victory comes from a all or nothing atk after u have lost all hope of winning, used up all ur elixers, and is down to 1 character with hardly any hp. then that last atk lands and shockingly it dies. its like its a game mechanic where after a hour long battle the boss just sees how much effort u put into the fight and just takes a dive
@crim000111 my battle against Valvalis a.k.a Barbariccia was probably the most epic in terms of last ditch heroics. Everyone was dead but Cecil and Kain. Kain got the last hit in of course because he's awesome that way.
@crim000111 it's like the games love you..... when i first managed to beat Lavos from chrono trigger i had just 1 character... 15 hp.... no hp thingys..... and just enough mana to do my strongest attack.... luckly enough i killed it! but shit it got annoyingly easy after that -.-

@zelpyzelp simple: though Zemus is the final boss, Golbez holds more relevance to Cecil, and Golbez's attempt at redemption for his crimes in Dissidia is a better storyline.
Loved this battle... Though, it seems that he abused Big Bang after I stole Dark Matter..
Anyway.. My first final battle, though I never actually played through the whole game until a few years after the PSX port.. Loved this song.. Now I gotta replay this game.
Big Bang isn't as powerful if you steal Anti-Matter or Dark Matter (May have changed the name) from him BEFORE this form it may take a long time so get something to eat and drink it took me a good 20 minutes to get it.Its a VERY RARE "STEAL" DROP.This trick SHOULD work in the DS,Game Boy Advanced and PS1 versions.
Have Rydia high enough Lv. to use Nuke/Flare (Or higher to make it easier to keep her alive.)
Have Rosa high enough Lv. to use Full Life,Cure4/Curaja and Pearl/Holy.

Trufax, I fought Zeromus in FFIV DS, he had killed off Edge, Rydia, and Rosa with his Big Bang attacks. Kain was nowhere in sight because he had used Jump. The only one left was Cecil on the field, a good 100+ HP left. Zeromus began to rumble and prepared to use Big Bang on me. Just when I thought it was all over? Kain jumps down JUST in time before Zeromus can use Big Bang. 9,999 damage, for the victory.
Best finish I've ever had in a Final Fantasy game yet.
@SonicWinds yeah kains jump attack safe me alot of times but what piss me off about his attacks was that if you cast cure and he jumps he doesnt get cured and thats BS

@MemShippou I guess it depends on how the questions and answers are worded. I've seen some tests like this that had the most ambiguous and misleading answers that could be right, but were not. (CISCO networking exams are a VERY GOOD example of this). Factor in 30 percent of the final grade, and you got one hell of a battle there (hence the Zeromus theme).
@MemShippou If you knew the multiple choice questions my Biology teacher was asking in his exams, you wouldn't be saying that. The entire class got something like a C as medium grade.
Plus, some teachers like to remove points from the student if he wrongly answers a question in a multiple choice test.
Hahaha! That's awesome! One thing though, please tell me you won't hit your entire class with a few questions that are as powerful as a BIG BANG attack. lol
@gozips30 I had a student prank me last year by putting the cover art from Final Fantasy X-2 on my desktop when I wasn't looking. Now, FFX-2 is one of my most hated games ever made, so he knew exactly what he was doing.
He deserves a question on par with the Big Bang attack. LOL.
I loved the DS version too! But I also liked this song on the DS version better, and I had already heard this version before the DS one too... *shrugs* (I've been wanting to play this game since it's SNES and GBA appearances, the best one came the last).
Another final boss who comes from nowhere, like Dark Cloud, or Necron. Since the beginning of the game, Golbez is the antagonist. He´s so cruel that we can´t wait to kick his metal ass. But...suddenly, Zemus appears!! From nowhere!! And, zap! at the end, he´s the final boss!!!
Hmmm...I think Zeromus. Some of the effects from Grand Cross can be weakened or negated, but Big Bang is unavoidable. Plus you don't have Trances, hit combos, etc.
@SuperYoshi1141 YerE I couldn't have killed him on SNES hardtype when I was a kid without. Funny thing is, if you mingle around some FF9 Necron videos or FF9 forums, a lot of signs point to Necron = X-Death, (from FF5.)
@ultradinosaur123 DO IT, it's so good. It's additions including the graphics and added abilities that you decide where to spend make it one of the best RPGs ever (somehow better than the original!)

This game has such a beautiful storyline. And I love how he said that he wouldnt die as long as theres darkness in the hearts of men, and then Kain at the end revealed that he was going to become a paladin. Beautiful game in almost every aspect. FF6 is the only better Final Fantasy than this one. FF 1-7 are the best and the rest after that suck. other than FF13, if you want to spend 20 hours on a game before it gets good.

@VashFanboy1 Cloud of Darkness was arguably the worst.. I mean, I've played the main series up to 12, except for 11, and every boss theme has me wide-eyed and pumped to beat the enemy... except for CoD.. Chaos makes you feel like it REALLY IS the end of your life.. the Emperor of Hell is epic, then... CoD... Then we move on to this, which is an upgrade, and then Neo-ExDeath and Kefka.. so I gotta say Cloud of Darkness has the worst theme...

Zeromus should have been the extra boss in Kingdom Hearts 2 cause remember his last line, "I will never die as long as there is darkness in the hearts of men". Rather fitting fo a KH game dont you think.
But that scrub Sora could never take down a REAL villian like Zeromus or Neo Exdeath. Giant keys can only get you so far. He might've beat Sephiroth, but he wouldn't stand a chance against Safer Sephiroth or ANY transformed boss of FF lol
@matteste Oh shi- He damn well be a Secret Boss in KH: Reconnect then! We already had Sephiroth twice. Yeah, we get it, he's an epic spammer of unholy death. And we've beat him twice. Now let us fight another evil FF villain that actually as some sense as to why he'd be in the KH universe.
@TARDISES I think they should take out more Disney and add more FF in the next KH. I could totally see Kefka being a KH villain at some point. Maybe even someone like ExDeath, plotting to use Kingdom Hearts to open The Void or something.

I merely thought Giolgamesh because he has the most appearances of any non-summon FF character. (Counting summons I'd say he'd be beaten out MAYBE by 3 summons - Ifrit, Shiva and Bahamut.)
@alexandercns Maybe make an entire new era no more gay characters like sora and riku and a whole other yaoi bunch. God their voices made me wanto rip the game in half. They need to make the characters more badass.

I loved the DS version too! But I also liked this song on the DS version better, and I had already heard this version before the DS one too... *shrugs* (I've been wanting to play this game since it's SNES and GBA appearances, the best one came the last).

Magus(He's from Crono Trigger) ,Zeromus( The new EG version was to easy),Kefka,Exdeath,Chaos,Cloud of Darkness and a few others.

Another final boss who comes from nowhere, like Dark Cloud, or Necron. Since the beginning of the game, Golbez is the antagonist. He´s so cruel that we can´t wait to kick his metal ass. But...suddenly, Zemus appears!! From nowhere!! And, zap! at the end, he´s the final boss!!!

Hmmm...I think Zeromus. Some of the effects from Grand Cross can be weakened or negated, but Big Bang is unavoidable. Plus you don't have Trances, hit combos, etc.

@SuperYoshi1141 YerE I couldn't have killed him on SNES hardtype when I was a kid without. Funny thing is, if you mingle around some FF9 Necron videos or FF9 forums, a lot of signs point to Necron = X-Death, (from FF5.)

This game has such a beautiful storyline. And I love how he said that he wouldnt die as long as theres darkness in the hearts of men, and then Kain at the end revealed that he was going to become a paladin. Beautiful game in almost every aspect. FF6 is the only better Final Fantasy than this one. FF 1-7 are the best and the rest after that suck. other than FF13, if you want to spend 20 hours on a game before it gets good.

@VashFanboy1 Cloud of Darkness was arguably the worst.. I mean, I've played the main series up to 12, except for 11, and every boss theme has me wide-eyed and pumped to beat the enemy... except for CoD.. Chaos makes you feel like it REALLY IS the end of your life.. the Emperor of Hell is epic, then... CoD... Then we move on to this, which is an upgrade, and then Neo-ExDeath and Kefka.. so I gotta say Cloud of Darkness has the worst theme...

Zeromus should have been the extra boss in Kingdom Hearts 2 cause remember his last line, "I will never die as long as there is darkness in the hearts of men". Rather fitting fo a KH game dont you think.

But that scrub Sora could never take down a REAL villian like Zeromus or Neo Exdeath. Giant keys can only get you so far. He might've beat Sephiroth, but he wouldn't stand a chance against Safer Sephiroth or ANY transformed boss of FF lol

@TARDISES I think they should take out more Disney and add more FF in the next KH. I could totally see Kefka being a KH villain at some point. Maybe even someone like ExDeath, plotting to use Kingdom Hearts to open The Void or something.

I merely thought Giolgamesh because he has the most appearances of any non-summon FF character. (Counting summons I'd say he'd be beaten out MAYBE by 3 summons - Ifrit, Shiva and Bahamut.)

@matteste That being said, realistically, Zeromus its unbearably difficult to render, I mean just look at the mess of a form they gave him in the remake... He looks stupid. Now imagine that, only In a Kingdom hearts game where he has to move around and perform different animations for each individual attack :\
