I think the lyrics are supposed to be about the war between good and evil. The first half of the song is about the anger of the demons feeding their determination to kill the angels of heaven and send them to hell for revenge. The part of the lyrics that said "Now I know how the angels fell, I know the tale and I know it too well" is a clue. The second half of the lyrics sounds like God talking to his army of angels, preparing them for the battle against the demons.

well technically in the space between 3 and 1 since at the end of 3 he only begins his fight with mundus. At some point he loses and becomes nelo angelo that you fight and kill in 1. Now because of the similarity betwen Nelo and Nero namewise, the fact that nero carries sparda's blood, that he can use yamato and that dante entrusts him with this sword after saying that it has to stay in the family, some pleople believe nero is vergil reborn, but i couldn't give you a definite yes or no on that

More then likely, he is Dante's nephew. And I never heard capcom say that book in non-canon, since most devil may cry novels are apart of the storyline.

Vergil challenged and lost to Mundus in DMC 3 (DMC 3 happened before DMC 1 according to the timeline). Then Mundus enslaved and brainwashed Vergil, you get to fight and kill him in DMC 1. He appears as Nelo Angelo in that game, and when he dies, his part of the amulet is all that remains of him. So Vergil IS dead, but Capcom can always make a game that happens in between DMC 3 and DMC 1, where the final level would be Vergil vs Mundus, or even before DMC 3.

Actually, Vergil and Nero have some connection due to the fact that Nero is still blood related to Sparda. Also, Dante is much stronger than Vergil. Dante possesses something Vergil never could and that would be a heart. Vergil may only be slightly stronger because he, 1. has Yamato and 2. has embraced his demonic half. In "Devil May Cry 4", by then Vergil wouldn't stand a chance...

I say this because the protagonist in all DMC games is a tough guy and would tell you he was gonna kill you, not poetically seduce you to die. Along that same time frame, I believe it is "... My strength is pain..." not "My strength His Bane..." All DMC serious lead chars get angry as they take damage right? And how is this 'He' they'd speak of?
