  • WINNIPEG!

  • He has been average this year on the Wheaties.

  • i cant beleav he is 5'1

  • 6'1

  • oh, i guess schenn and glennie will still play together another year or two. it will be interesting to see them go at each other in the pacific division :)

  • Im very happy with this pick. More so than I would have if we had grabbed Kadri, which looks like what Dallas was going to do if not for Burke. You could very well say Glennie was the best player available at RW. The fact that he plays center AND had a better ppg average than his former linemate Schenn, who was taken at #5 definatly makes him very appealing. I think this guy is gonna make us very happy in a couple years :)

  • Welcome to the Dallas Stars Scott!!!

  • Touche! :)

I wish we had traded down to get him, but maybe he was the dark-horse that many GM's wanted. We got a right-shooting right-winger who is a skilled sniper.

  • he can play center too!

  • I know, but our need is that he develops into a 1st or 2nd line right winger. Lehts will be gone soon, whereas Ribeiro will definitely and probably even Richards could stick around longer as our no.1 and no.2 centers. We do have Sawada (RS, RW), but he may end up being a 3rd line player...2nd line at best.

We need a valid offensive threat on the right wing.

  • agreed.

I've heard comparisons of this guy to Mike Gartner, so let's hope that pans out.

  • I heard Jeff Carter. The Mike Gartner comparisons were to Paajaarvi-Svensson. I am quoting Bob McKenzie's draft rankings on TSN, btw.
