This movie was really realistic about single moms "Why don't we get a daddy?" "You can talk to Santa." My mom was the same way- a single mom of 2 young girls around the same age living in an apartment complex with no husband around. I love this movie but it kinda makes me sad at the same time

Why didn't they just talk to their mom and compromise. It's as easy as this: Rhonda drops the girls off at their grandma's for a couple of days, kids love that She has her little vacation, and goes back to grandma's to pick the girls up when it's over. See, nothing simpler.
