  • Sad, sad, sad...

  • the boston crab is a great stretch for the back LOL

  • lol they must like the position at 1:30

fatty looks so funny when he taps

  • Old School, these guys must be old by now. Looks like they are GAY Lovers. It must have been sad for them to hide in the closet during that era. Today they would have been able to Celebrate and be Proud of their HOMOSEXUALITY.

  • Fucking ass clowns

  • you cant even tie up correctly

  • Waste of internet space an everybody's time.

  • superlyger is a complete FAG and should go to a bjj school and get tapped every which way..ur a bitch and u know nothing tell me where u live and ill give u a bjj school u can go to near by, u can talk that shit over there and see if u can walk out without any broken bones

  • BJJ is great, but they did rename a lot of crap

  • Great video!

But you forgot the abdonomal stretch.

  • When you did the armbar, his palm was up. Greatly decreasing your chances of getting the sub. Thumbs up when doing an armbar.

  • I don't know much about foreign wrestling so excuse me if I make a mistake here. But from what I've been told and saw, you always more the left. Meaning work the left arm and leg. That's what they do in pro wrestling, so if this is different please tell me. It all looks the same.

  • Yes, working the left is customary in wrestling as far as I know.

  • I actually asked a pro wrestling promoter why and he didn't give me a straight answer other than, "That's how they do it. It shows you are professional."

  • The Kimura Lock wasn't invented by Masahiko Kimura, and in Judo, they call it the Gyaku Ude Garami.

The reason why people all it the Kimura was because Kimura used that move to break Helio Gracie's shoulder.

  • This crap isnt CATCH WRESTLING! I don't which is more stupid: The video or the people in it. CATCH WRESTLING was here before JuiJitsu people, Quit changing history or believing that nonsense.

  • What move demonstrated here is not part of catch wrestling?

  • FULL NELSON

  • good video, I like

  • Pro wrestling....

  • catch wrestling!...pretty much what pro wrestling was before they started fixing matches. That's why so many of these holds you see used by "Technical Wrestlers" in WWE,TNA etc.

  • pretty funny video

  • the hamerlock isn't the kimura. It is similar but it isnt the same. The kimura puts the forearm at a 90 degree angle to the upper arm and then wrenches it backwards, the hamerlock just puts the arm behind your back and has upward pressure put on it. you can pull a kimura from in front of somebody. also in judo it isn't known as the kimura, its a gatami move, I forget exactly what its called. When they incorporated it into brazilian jiu-jitsu they named it after a judo guy who did it

  • that's true, in catch wrestling a kimura is known as a double wrist lock

  • Before it was called a kimura, I believe it was known as a keylock in the Judo roots or Double Wrist Lock in Catch Wrestling, etc.

I may not be 100% accurate here, but from my research it was called Kimura when the Judo Expert Kimura beat Helio Gracie with the keylock (telephone style) hold. In honor of Gracies defeat, that hold was then known as the Kimura which is what it's mainly known today.

Lastly, yes... the hammerlock and double wrist lock are not the same, as you explained.

  • The Brazilians baztardized the terminology. It is an ude garami it is Judo, and BJJ comes from Judo. Therfore, it is an ude garami. Most Judoka's hate this about the popular mess Gracie Jui- Jitsu has created.

In authentic Judo circles it is important for the sake of universal learning and posterity that the terminology remain pure. But right you are, it is a double wristlock in Catch.

  • ude-garami it is. I just kept it in English form, but the 'keylock' term I used is actually incorrect on my behalf. Not totally sure what the translation is, but I am guessing it is Arm-tangle, or something similar (using my very little knowledge in japanese). Would love to learn Japanese, though. ;-)

Yes, I do agree about the 'baztardized' terminology by the early Gracie Jiu-Jitsu guys. They played a very smart, business game, and they done it well, as BJJ is everywhere now today.

    Peace!

  • "...it is important for the sake of universal learning and posterity that the terminology remain pure..."

Why? You sound like a nutter.

  • judo/japanese term for the "kimura" is the Ude-Garame, i believe.
