CoD4 would take my vote over BioShock. Bio was nice and all, I don't hate it, but it wasn't all too surprising to me as much as others stated it would be. It was just your run of the mill FPS with a few innovative concepts. CoD4 just played well on all systems.

The reason why it didn't make number 1 was, besides the investment, it had a lot of bugs on launch day that made some play throughs nearly impossible to pass because some of the bugs were that annoying.

CoD4 was more or less better in retrospect as it was one of the few games to launch and from the get go be nearly bug free. It was refined and cleaned where Crysis still needed work.
