i got an epiphone les paul special II and i´m looking for an amp,so i don´t know if I buy a Fender 212R or Fender Mustang IV but I also adore the orange sound,so what you thing i should buy an orange or a fender one?please someone help me
hello. Can i plug this amp to another cabinet speaker? I'm just asking, cause i want to know how about playing gig with this amp... 30w is small.. but with other cabinet? Sorry for bad english
You need to play this thing in-person. The lack of warmth is due to the recording quality not the amp. this is a nice amp as it should be for the price.
You can really tell (by this video) that you are heavily influenced by the jazz scales. You really do the pull-offs well man. Top notch indeed. As for this amp, looks cool.. would be great for practicing!
@MERCENARYVII Fender Frontman 15r is absolutely junk. I'm begging you to NOT buy one! Seriously I used to own a frontman 15 and they are cheap garbage even at low volume. Fender doesn't take pride in less expensive equipment. I honestly don't know about the orange though. I'm going to look at one for a practice amp tomorrow.
I don;t know man, I've seen a few of these "hands on" and my little boogie .50 caliber has way better tones, and more control. The Marshall 30 watt artist is better too.
Hiya do you get tonal differences between guitars with these amps. I have a line 6 spider at the moment but all my guitars sound the same from a strat to a LP.
For small gigs/practices, I like the classic 30 from peavey. Kustom has a 30 watt Coupe(same amp designer -I believe). If you have extra cash maybe top hat,or Kasha.
i wish these were out when i was buying my practice amp. i got a fender front man 25w combo. ten inch speaker. 200$. sounds ok, but id prefer this any day
@Alex1710XVII of course you will, stagg is a brand that makes guitars and amps for beginners, orange is a very proffesional brand, and many bands use them, even slipknot! but you will need to use effects pedals to get metal sounds, and your boss me20 wil do just fine;)
@Alex1710XVII it will conquer a regular drumkit by itself, but you can use the line out and put it in a PA system, or link to another guitar amp. there is no external speaker out, but orange's 1x12 speaker cabinets are more expensive than this amp!
you could buy two orange crush 30r amps, and you'll have a 2x12 in fact.
hey man! i've gotta this amp (and i'm very enjoyed by the way). but one question: why there's a 'hole' in amp's back? it lookz like jack input/output, but i don't have any idea what is it for
at 3:45 - 4:22 what were all the low mid and highs at? instead of like halfway can you let me know in like 12oclock :) that would be wicked. bought one of these yesterday (Y)
#1 for jazz guitar would be Linc Chamberland, then Kenny Burrell. I spent more time listening to horn players though. #1 For horns would be Eric Dolphy, then John Coltrtane, then Roland Kirk. Check them out.
can I just ask something? Well you see I found that this amp needs to have the level turned full way to get a good distorted sound, I mean for heavy rock, not blues. Is this normal? Also, the gain needs to be very high for this too.
It's not made for metal, but that's not such a bad thing. This is a Swiss-army knife amp which can do well for practice and small venue gigs. For the price, it can't be beat for a solid, reliable, general purpose amp. If you want a heavy metal amp, expect to pay about 3-4 times as much as the CR30.
hey i just got this amp today, and my over drive sounds nothing like yours. it pretty much sounds clean but just louder.. is this normal or do i have a defective amp
I would like to buy this amp, but i got a question, does it would sound good next to a drum kit on rehearsals... need answers.. please someone... can someone tell me the height and weight of this thing??
This was awsome dude.."respect"...\m/...I have Orange Crush 15 amps....It would be great that someone could know a good site whit some settings ....Great vid !!!
Valvetronix are modeling amps and Crush are standard solid state amps. I've never played Vox, so I can't tell. I can recommend Orange because of it's simplicity. It sounds great with pedals and on high volumes.
I'm really intersted in this because of the price but I've heard that they are terrible for metal.Anybody know if this is true.A good metal tone is by far the most important to me.
I've just bought this amp and after 1h of testing I'm really amazed and suprised with this amp sound. I had Kustom HV100 (hybrid amp awarded by Guitar World magazine) before and I've sold it beacuse it was too loud and too big for me. Orange has outstanding tone and sound quality just like Kustom. It has real spring reverb built in!!! It sounds like tube amp and overdrive is really great. Eq is very sensitive. That's definitively one of the best solid state amps on the market. I recommend.

i have one of these and it has the same problem i had with my vox ad. it's impossible to get a sharp treble sound. sounds like a comforter is covering your speaker.

This is amp is amazing when it comes to blues, blues rock kinda deal. It has great sound quality. I have owned this amp for nearly a year and I would like to warn people that want this amp to play stuff like heavy metal. When it comes to heavy metal or when it's turned all the way up it gets really muddy. That is with the gain and level turned all the way up. The quality of the sound does go down. Sometimes you can't understand what you are playing. It is a great practice amp though. IMHO
It could be, I own this amp as well, But i find you lose some of your sound when it's cranked all the way, so for gigs i use my orange tiny terror through a 4x12 cab, it will cost you more, but if your going to be playing with drums and such it's a better investment to save up and get a rig, the orange tiny terror seems expensive but it's worth it, and you can get some cheap cabs out there too. This is an amazing practice amp though, but if you take your show on the road, you may have some troub
This does sound pretty good. I have to keep looking through Orange amplifier demonstration videos though, They sound great distorted but I don't know how good they sound in clean when the bass knob is turned up high.
Dont get this for metal. get mesa boogie or get rocktron, or marshall or line 6. those are good for metal, NOT orange. orange is for punk, clean, and indie
you see, im a bit strapped for cash, and line 6 isnt impressive, as i have the 15 watt spider iii. mesa costs 2 much, im NOT getting an marshall mg! $300~ amps??
i've got the 15 watt spider 3 too, the sound isn't too good, but it's good for a first amp cuz it comes with a ton of effects. i'm looking to buy the 30r now cuz the sound quality is jsut SO much better
Does the original Orange footswitch work with Crush?
At the Orange website it says that "Not for use with Crush range." I've read that it is because of Crush amps doesn't feed the voltage to light the LED on an Orange footswitch.
I would be ready to buy these products but not going to until I'm sure that footswitch works with Crush. Help, please <3

This does sound pretty good. I have to keep looking through Orange amplifier demonstration videos though, They sound great distorted but I don't know how good they sound in clean when the bass knob is turned up high.

would this amp be good for metal WITH PEDALS??? would it be louder than a line 6 spider iii
chaazums 2 years ago
Dont get this for metal. get mesa boogie or get rocktron, or marshall or line 6. those are good for metal, NOT orange. orange is for punk, clean, and indie
Vicarouse 2 years ago
you see, im a bit strapped for cash, and line 6 isnt impressive, as i have the 15 watt spider iii. mesa costs 2 much, im NOT getting an marshall mg! $300~ amps??
chaazums 2 years ago
i've got the 15 watt spider 3 too, the sound isn't too good, but it's good for a first amp cuz it comes with a ton of effects. i'm looking to buy the 30r now cuz the sound quality is jsut SO much better

i bought it, and now my spider jam is for sale on kijiji ottawa if anyone's interested.

Help, please <3
nuuskislol 2 years ago
if the orange website says "not for use with crush range," it's quite likely that those footswitches aren't meant to be used with the crush range.
i'm sure orange manufacture a separate footswitch specifically for the crush amps.

Not too sure, I have one now. If I turn the Gain and Level all the way up it sounds something like Peral Jam's Alive.
If you know how to tweak eqs it should be alright. I'd get a pedal with it though. This thing doesn't have too much gain.
