  • Hey i am having boss me 25,and i want to buy some good amp for it,i am having 250euros,is this amp gonna be good?

  • the amp sounds like a piece of shit thats been stepped on

  • That sounded good Mel!

  • That sounds shit , not the player , that amp.

  • is this amp good for post-punk music?

  • i got an epiphone les paul special II and i´m looking for an amp,so i don´t know if I buy a Fender 212R or Fender Mustang IV but I also adore the orange sound,so what you thing i should buy an orange or a fender one?please someone help me

  • hello. Can i plug this amp to another cabinet speaker? I'm just asking, cause i want to know how about playing gig with this amp... 30w is small.. but with other cabinet? Sorry for bad english

  • You need to play this thing in-person. The lack of warmth is due to the recording quality not the amp. this is a nice amp as it should be for the price.

  • i'm looking for a good amp i could get for under $200 that i can use for small performaces. do you have any recommendations?

  • I don't think it sounds good either.. Sounds boxy and cheap no warmth at least from here..

  • G-picks is the brand name for glass guitar picks

  • You can really tell (by this video) that you are heavily influenced by the jazz scales. You really do the pull-offs well man. Top notch indeed. As for this amp, looks cool.. would be great for practicing!

  • He's stoned like hell

  • Buy a Vox VT30! It's the best one in the market!

  • sounds vintage

  • Will this amp get an awesome Metal/Metallica tone?

  • Is this Amp able to sit on it?

  • which amp to buy this orange 30r or the Fender Frontman 15r

  • @MERCENARYVII In my opinion you should go for the Orange ... the sound it trows is just amazing..good for crunchy sounds to classic rock !

  • @MERCENARYVII Fender Frontman 15r is absolutely junk. I'm begging you to NOT buy one! Seriously I used to own a frontman 15 and they are cheap garbage even at low volume. Fender doesn't take pride in less expensive equipment. I honestly don't know about the orange though. I'm going to look at one for a practice amp tomorrow.

  • type gift in the url bfor yotube

  • I don;t know man, I've seen a few of these "hands on" and my little boogie .50 caliber has way better tones, and more control. The Marshall 30 watt artist is better too.

  • @Dankshasta

Yeah-if you like those better, then by all means, use them. Your ear will ultimately tell you what to buy.

  • whats the reverb, level, low, mid, and high settings at 4:30 (the blues sound)

  • @7re33

I did this some time back...I do not remember at all-sorry :-).

  • Hiya do you get tonal differences between guitars with these amps. I have a line 6 spider at the moment but all my guitars sound the same from a strat to a LP.

  • @vainparasite

hmm...not sure why that is. You Paul and strat should sound way different.

  • @melbookermusic is the line 6 spider tube or solid state? that makes all the difference there is !

  • @vahan99

The spider is not tube-but I just saw a Bogner/Spider...I guess at a gig, and it was pretty cool. Look for that.

  • what about using one of these to practise with a quite noisy drummer?

    wold it be worth buying?

  • @xboxtriba

I probably would not. Unless you can mic it.

  • @melbookermusic alright what do you recommend then? :)

  • @xboxtriba

For small gigs/practices, I like the classic 30 from peavey. Kustom has a 30 watt Coupe(same amp designer -I believe). If you have extra cash maybe top hat,or Kasha.

  • One of the better demos I've seen on here - key features - very consise & to the point - thanks.

  • m'kay

  • no, just a black hole in the down right corner of white metal cover

  • does it do rock music very good? crunch sound.

  • what is the price???

  • It's good your showing off all the styles this amp can pull off.

  • whats that song he was playin at like 2:05. i know it from somewhere.....

  • blue on black?

  • Hi very nice vid, i just bought a Orange Crush 35 and i´d like to know what sets can i use for playing Blues, Hard Rock and Fusion ...

  • at first I thought it was Vernon Reid.

  • are all orange amps tube?

  • @TheSchoolsux345

    no, crush line aint

  • GREAT GREAT REVIEW MAY I SAY !!!

  • love that blues stuff=)

  • i wish these were out when i was buying my practice amp. i got a fender front man 25w combo. ten inch speaker. 200$. sounds ok, but id prefer this any day

  • Will I recognize a improvement to the Stagg 20GA if I buy the Orange Crush 30?

btw. I will use a BOSS ME-20 to create the sounds I need.

  • @Alex1710XVII of course you will, stagg is a brand that makes guitars and amps for beginners, orange is a very proffesional brand, and many bands use them, even slipknot! but you will need to use effects pedals to get metal sounds, and your boss me20 wil do just fine;)

  • @WouterGuitarFreak What about being louder than a drumkit? Am I able to plug in a external box (2x12 for example) to be louder?

  • @Alex1710XVII it will conquer a regular drumkit by itself, but you can use the line out and put it in a PA system, or link to another guitar amp. there is no external speaker out, but orange's 1x12 speaker cabinets are more expensive than this amp!

you could buy two orange crush 30r amps, and you'll have a 2x12 in fact.

  • hey man! i've gotta this amp (and i'm very enjoyed by the way). but one question: why there's a 'hole' in amp's back? it lookz like jack input/output, but i don't have any idea what is it for

  • @toudi94 i dont know what youre talking about, my crush 30r hasnt got a jack hole on the back.. is there nothing written around it?

  • doesnt it has a good sound for playing metallica?

    Thanks

  • Nope-doesn't do metal very well by itself. Need a pedal.

  • @melbookermusic

which footswitch is used to footswitch it?

  • @nirson123

Orange has their own. I generic may work though.

  • Hey bro, please answer me really quick if you can 'cause i have to make a decision. Does this amp does a really good heavy metal tone?

    Keep rockin'

  • The only solid state that has a decent solo tone?

  • at 3:45 - 4:22 what were all the low mid and highs at? instead of like halfway can you let me know in like 12oclock :) that would be wicked. bought one of these yesterday (Y)

    nice review 5*

  • well someone's stoned.

  • ??what??

  • whats the differnece between low and high inputs

  • The high is a little hotter-I always go for that one.

  • Love the jazz style.....who are your jazz influences?

  • #1 for jazz guitar would be Linc Chamberland, then Kenny Burrell. I spent more time listening to horn players though. #1 For horns would be Eric Dolphy, then John Coltrtane, then Roland Kirk. Check them out.

  • that things awesome!!! im drinking orange crush right now!!!

  • is it Tube?

  • Solid state

  • This amp can got the sound of black sabbath ?

  • not with out pedals-this won't do sabbath very well.

  • @melbookermusic Whats the guitar your using? Sorry if you mentioned it. YOu play good dude.

  • Michael Kelly Hourglass Q

  • thank you

  • Yes, it can. Got one myself, this is the best thing you can get for that money.

  • my knobbies are different looking. idk how old mine is though cuz i bought it used. how old is the one in the video? anyone know?

  • vox is the best british amp!

  • what is best?? Every player will have a different definition of best. I would love to have an ac30 though...

  • Good review. How much does this amp cost?

  • Here in Europe 250€ that's around 350$

  • can you do a short ( or long ) demo of the Johnson Distortion EQ using the crush 30r?

    TTYYY

  • ...that's a good idea. I'll work on that.

  • i want this amp but it doesnt have metal tone could i hook a boss metal core up to it and get what i was looking for or what dude?

  • Johnson Distortion eq.

  • i want metal sound, this amp can?

  • It's not made for metal, but that's not such a bad thing. This is a Swiss-army knife amp which can do well for practice and small venue gigs. For the price, it can't be beat for a solid, reliable, general purpose amp. If you want a heavy metal amp, expect to pay about 3-4 times as much as the CR30.

  • Use a pedal for metal stuff-Johnson Distortion eq...everyone is coming out with their own copy of this pedal.

  • @deluxeeeLuxury

bro, slipknot and the fall of troy use Orange. :D

i want this so badly, but thats my worry too. nothing pedals and equalizers can't fix.

  • hey i just got this amp today, and my over drive sounds nothing like yours. it pretty much sounds clean but just louder.. is this normal or do i have a defective amp

  • This was my first amp. did me good when i was learning. I would recommend this to any beginner who loves classic rock.

Got me a laney aor 50 now but sometimes i still miss this little orange booger

  • I would like to buy this amp, but i got a question, does it would sound good next to a drum kit on rehearsals... need answers.. please someone... can someone tell me the height and weight of this thing??

  • Someone told me, that 25watts is good enough to be heard over drums. So I don't see why 30 would be a problem, i never played with a drum set yet.

    Everything else, sorry don't know.

  • it's ok.... thanks for the answer

  • This amp is solid state right?

  • Yeah-solid state.

  • Great review. Loved the jazzy thing at 2:52 and the blues section at 4:38.

  • is it possible to connect this amp to another of the same kindand run them together without having to use an ABY box? thanks

  • 1000***********

  • man its hard to even think bout solid state amps once uve gone tube, ther not bad just that tubey warmness n fullness suck u in man

  • this or the fender frontman 65r??

  • This...Frontmans nice...but this feels more natural. If you wanna Fender look at the Fender Super Champ XD...cheers

  • is it loud enough for a band?? xd thanks :)

  • This was awsome dude.."respect"...\m/...I have Orange Crush 15 amps....It would be great that someone could know a good site whit some settings ....Great vid !!!

  • I'm impressed by how good this solid state sounds

  • Nice. Very versatile. Cool.

  • Questions!

    1. Will this Amp Sound Good with a PRS SE 22?

    2. Also, where can I get this amp for Cheap, or a Uberly crazy Orange for a little more?

    3. What are the different levels of these Amps, Starting from cheapest model to most expensive, unattainable don't even look at amps?

  • you have a PRS SE 22? of course it'll sound good.

  • what does the overdrive input do? does it bypass the EQ?

  • Please help me set up my Orange Crush 10 :) x

  • cool review bro

  • Good demo! and man you can rly play the blues :D awesome

  • Valvetronix are modeling amps and Crush are standard solid state amps. I've never played Vox, so I can't tell. I can recommend Orange because of it's simplicity. It sounds great with pedals and on high volumes.

  • I've got a AD30VT and i want to sold it -> and buy this amp with a TS-9 . Is it a nice choice ??

  • I'm really intersted in this because of the price but I've heard that they are terrible for metal.Anybody know if this is true.A good metal tone is by far the most important to me.

  • defo not great for metal but it can pull it off if necessary but primarily a clean / overdriven amp! but it can just get a good metal tone

  • funny that u say that, slipknots guitarist plays through orange amps

  • not this orange amp though

  • i think this amp is great for metal, i play slipknot, metallica, and lots of others on it with no pedal and i think it sounds great.

  • how much does this amp go for?

  • I've just bought this amp and after 1h of testing I'm really amazed and suprised with this amp sound. I had Kustom HV100 (hybrid amp awarded by Guitar World magazine) before and I've sold it beacuse it was too loud and too big for me. Orange has outstanding tone and sound quality just like Kustom. It has real spring reverb built in!!! It sounds like tube amp and overdrive is really great. Eq is very sensitive. That's definitively one of the best solid state amps on the market. I recommend.

  • Is that better than a VALVETRONIX (vox) ??

  • Well Valvetronix sound very warm but has a lot of 'bells and whistles' I prefer the Orange because it sounds very smoothe and very clear but totally transition to a dirty/beautiful sound for Punk/Rock

  • There are like 50 valvetronix models.

  • maybe a peavey valveking 212 +a valveking 412 cabinet ???

  • I'm stressing between this or a Vox VT30. I would have stuck with Vox for its "great range of tones" but I hear they all have problems with channel switching.

I don't necessarily want to play metal but I do have a fondness to shredding SO CAN SOMEONE HELP ME OUT?

  • For shred, you will need a pedal with the Orange. Not sure about the Vox.

  • i only have 1 acoustic, but i recently took a trip 2 guitarcenter n tried out an orange amp with a standard or american standard strat n i was blown away. i cant wait 2 get an electric!!!

    ps u hav kool hair

  • hmm i have an american standard strat! thinking of getting this amp! u think its a good combo? :)

  • not sure. dont play 'lectric... i used an sss pup config n it sounded good. so yeah it would sound good. i had my gain up n i really like the way it sounded

  • Cool :-)

  • Hm, I wanna try one with my Hag Swede, but an amp in color orange with this loudness for 180 bucks? I think it can´t be bad and this example sounds good....did anyone see, that the girl at the beginning is lefty and holds a righty-guitar oO

  • I had problems with my 15's. I like the 30's.

  • I'm gonna buy an orange amp, i want a small piece of gear, since i already have a 100watt handmade amp and 4x12 enclousure...

    So what do you think it's better, a crush30r or a crush15r ??

  • i have one of these and it has the same problem i had with my vox ad. it's impossible to get a sharp treble sound. sounds like a comforter is covering your speaker.

  • hey mel i was wondering if this amp is good to jam with a drummer. also does this amp have a great clean tone? like a fender clean tone? please let me know im very interested in this amp but not sure if i should get it.

  • You can jam with this amp. I would say no-the clean tone is not like a fender-that's a hard one to beat.

  • well what tube amp do u suggest thats under 900 bucks man that can keep up with a drummer? and it has to have its own cabinet please let me know man thanks :)

  • can you tell me what your blues settings were at? I've had my 30r for about 6 months and am very happy with it. keep the show on the road!!!

  • Oh man-I don't remember. I change the settings all the time depending on the room. :-) I'll dial up a cool blues tone and get back to you.

    Thanks!!

  • This is amp is amazing when it comes to blues, blues rock kinda deal. It has great sound quality. I have owned this amp for nearly a year and I would like to warn people that want this amp to play stuff like heavy metal. When it comes to heavy metal or when it's turned all the way up it gets really muddy. That is with the gain and level turned all the way up. The quality of the sound does go down. Sometimes you can't understand what you are playing. It is a great practice amp though. IMHO

  • would this amp be loud enough to play along with drums and a bass and play gigs with?

  • It could be, I own this amp as well, But i find you lose some of your sound when it's cranked all the way, so for gigs i use my orange tiny terror through a 4x12 cab, it will cost you more, but if your going to be playing with drums and such it's a better investment to save up and get a rig, the orange tiny terror seems expensive but it's worth it, and you can get some cheap cabs out there too. This is an amazing practice amp though, but if you take your show on the road, you may have some troub

  • This amp is an amazing practice amp. Great reverb and I love the gain. You need to have pedals to have a lot of fun though.

    Best for the price.

  • anyone know how this compares to a fender blues jr?

  • IT Sounds!

  • This does sound pretty good. I have to keep looking through Orange amplifier demonstration videos though, They sound great distorted but I don't know how good they sound in clean when the bass knob is turned up high.

  • Wow! Sounds great what if I want to play different mUsic?

  • marshall's combos sucks

  • solid state?

  • Then again, it all comes down to personal preference

  • would this amp be good for metal WITH PEDALS??? would it be louder than a line 6 spider iii

  • Dont get this for metal. get mesa boogie or get rocktron, or marshall or line 6. those are good for metal, NOT orange. orange is for punk, clean, and indie

  • you see, im a bit strapped for cash, and line 6 isnt impressive, as i have the 15 watt spider iii. mesa costs 2 much, im NOT getting an marshall mg! $300~ amps??

  • i've got the 15 watt spider 3 too, the sound isn't too good, but it's good for a first amp cuz it comes with a ton of effects. i'm looking to buy the 30r now cuz the sound quality is jsut SO much better

  • i bought it, and now my spider jam is for sale on kijiji ottawa if anyone's interested.

  • black sabbath used orange amps and cabs in the early 70's

  • so do slipknot, nevermind what i said. GET THIS AMP!

  • no i mean dont get any amp from the marshal mg series

  • I had Marshall MG 50dfx... I sold it and now I'm waitin for the Orange 30r :D

  • dont get marshall mgs!!!!

  • Is that a typo? I think you mean MSG (Mobile Suit Gundam).

  • should i get this or te marshall mg 30 - can i play green day stuff and ac/dc on this?

  • Get this Orange 30! It's a kickass little practice amp. Orange makes really good stuff man, you won't regret it.

  • this

the mgs are horrible they sound muddy

  • what the fuck are u doin playing green day, and uh yes i think the orange amp would be a good idea

  • yea but theyre cheap otherwise a shitload more ppl wood buy tube amps

  • Solid state blows

  • Does the original Orange footswitch work with Crush?

At the Orange website it says that "Not for use with Crush range." I've read that it is because of Crush amps doesn't feed the voltage to light the LED on an Orange footswitch.

I would be ready to buy these products but not going to until I'm sure that footswitch works with Crush. Help, please <3

  • if the orange website says "not for use with crush range," it's quite likely that those footswitches aren't meant to be used with the crush range.

i'm sure orange manufacture a separate footswitch specifically for the crush amps.

  • Will this be good for psychedelic rock? Like some hendrix?

  • Sounds perfect for it :)

  • Sweet =]

  • yes sir!

  • Not too sure, I have one now. If I turn the Gain and Level all the way up it sounds something like Peral Jam's Alive.

If you know how to tweak eqs it should be alright. I'd get a pedal with it though. This thing doesn't have too much gain.

  • whats the distortion like on this?? good for 80's hair metal stuff?? mabee some metallica?? thanks man

  • No, sorry, you get a great led zep sound, but not metallica

  • Really need a pedal for Metallica. I'll try to do some demos of this if I can.

  • ohh cool thanks
