  • o hell yeah i love the interactive part, I PLAYED WITH MARLOWEDK YEAAAAH

  • that bass sounds growly. I Iike how you break your lines down for the crowd. nice feel.

  • I love how you took the time to slow it down a very good bit to show us exactly where you are puttin your fingers man. I appreciate it very much. I've been learning to play for about a month now and i've found so many videos where people just record their selves playing and not slowing down and having to download the video and slow it down with WMP. Thanx for being awesome. :-p

  • @logan7801 How slow does he have to play it lol??

Listen to what he's playing then replicate it on your bass. Conformation will come when he slows it right down!

  • Hey bro can you send me tabs for this i cant think that fast lol

  • i love this lick =)...smooth and catchy....it was a bit tricky to follow at first but i got it down within the next 5 mins...i love the way u teach~ thanks so much!

  • Smooth my man, very smooth.

  • gostei cara vc é muito bom...........

  • nvm,,I GOT IT, Feels good to learn by ear, instead of tabs. Now i see why you make your lessons the way you do. I didnt like it at first cause i couldnt play any of your licks, now i know quite a few.

  • What are the last notes right before the last open string. I have everything down but the end

  • You are amazing. The best teacher in youtube!

  • You are the man dude, I can learn so much from you.

  • can you post a tab for this?

  • @celticsdude11 never mind, pretty much got it down now, after 2 weeks of trying to :P

  • How do you get such a soft warm tone? Flatwound strings?

  • now this IS a tutorial! such a great man. keep it up sir! :D

  • i dont get it, how you people can greate such a brilliant bass line? i only learned major and minor pentatonic scale and blue scale. HELp plz, or any tips, thx

  • Nice man! you are the best!

  • Ohh! men... you're just awesome!!!!! love the "you-me" part!

  • How the hell the hell do you guys see the notes?! I can't see anything! Are there taba or something?

  • @TheGuruNate take your time , keep rewinding the slow playing part and, depending on your experience you will find them soon or later ;) for me it took like 3-4 minutes.. you can also see some notes in video, but for others you will need ears :)

  • How do you guys play along to his? I cant really see what hes playing, nor can I hear it and there are no notes :(

  • love the badass look haha

  • FUNKY!!!

  • i tried to play it but i can't follow xD

  • My God, what a challenge this one was. Thanks man.

  • mind if i steal this lick in my next jam night?

  • haha ur a cool cat!

  • You are amazing. I just started playing bass at 40. I have been making my wife's ears bleed with the sound of my attempting to play anything that resembles something that should come from a bass guitar. I found this video and have been practicing for 2 days now just to get the notes right. I'm having a BLAST! I can't wait to see more of your videos but I am currently addicted to this one!

  • @Suddenlysane Great to hear, keep on playing:-)

  • @Suddenlysane haha were in the same boat....I am 42....keep rockin fellow bass dude and we are never to old to enjoy music......peace out and ROCK ON.

  • I loove your lessons :)

This is real great, and I you even play it slow 4 me to learn the tones.

  • Great lesson! Thanks!

  • hey i always see you playin a fender jazz but i was wondering what you thought about a hofner violin bass, ive got both of them and i love them both but i had to throw round wounds on the hofner, i just wanted to know your opinions on basses and what your preferences are thanks

  • @bullfiddlejay I do want a Hofner at some point with flats

  • @MarloweDK the flat wounds sounded really fat but they just werent comfy, when i switched to the rounds it was everything i couldve dreamed of in a bass

  • @bullfiddlejay I feel the same way

  • Man.. you sure do a lot of half step slides in all your jams.

  • @joepic85 Yes , thats the bluesy way:-)

  • The best teacher in youtube! Marlowe is great.

  • There are about 10 bassists from youtube that I consider the best and I'm not sure who I'd put first [Marlowe is definitely in the top 3 at least] but he is the best bass teacher on youtube or period I'm sure, lol.
