I love how you took the time to slow it down a very good bit to show us exactly where you are puttin your fingers man. I appreciate it very much. I've been learning to play for about a month now and i've found so many videos where people just record their selves playing and not slowing down and having to download the video and slow it down with WMP. Thanx for being awesome. :-p
i love this lick =)...smooth and catchy....it was a bit tricky to follow at first but i got it down within the next 5 mins...i love the way u teach~ thanks so much!
nvm,,I GOT IT, Feels good to learn by ear, instead of tabs. Now i see why you make your lessons the way you do. I didnt like it at first cause i couldnt play any of your licks, now i know quite a few.
i dont get it, how you people can greate such a brilliant bass line? i only learned major and minor pentatonic scale and blue scale. HELp plz, or any tips, thx
@TheGuruNate take your time , keep rewinding the slow playing part and, depending on your experience you will find them soon or later ;) for me it took like 3-4 minutes.. you can also see some notes in video, but for others you will need ears :)
your lessons are so good for us aspiring playas'. could you maybe zoom in on the fretboard more and slow it down to a quarter time then speed up then speed up again would be very helpful. thanks so much your fantastic!
You are amazing. I just started playing bass at 40. I have been making my wife's ears bleed with the sound of my attempting to play anything that resembles something that should come from a bass guitar. I found this video and have been practicing for 2 days now just to get the notes right. I'm having a BLAST! I can't wait to see more of your videos but I am currently addicted to this one!
@Suddenlysane haha were in the same boat....I am 42....keep rockin fellow bass dude and we are never to old to enjoy music......peace out and ROCK ON.
hey i always see you playin a fender jazz but i was wondering what you thought about a hofner violin bass, ive got both of them and i love them both but i had to throw round wounds on the hofner, i just wanted to know your opinions on basses and what your preferences are thanks
@MarloweDK the flat wounds sounded really fat but they just werent comfy, when i switched to the rounds it was everything i couldve dreamed of in a bass
There are about 10 bassists from youtube that I consider the best and I'm not sure who I'd put first [Marlowe is definitely in the top 3 at least] but he is the best bass teacher on youtube or period I'm sure, lol.
LMOA ths is harlirious but your awesome

@logan7801 How slow does he have to play it lol??
Listen to what he's playing then replicate it on your bass. Conformation will come when he slows it right down!
