He needs to relax. Relationships are not something he can just go looking for & expect to fall in his lap. If hes really the nice guy, then that's okay. Maybe some girls dig the jerk, but not me. My boyfriend was my best friend for 3 years prior, & I think that's a great start. Getting to know each other before is helpful.
Basically as long as he is himself, he doesn't always worry, doesn't look for it, but just lets things fall into place, then w/ a little luck & hope, he'll find it.

Yea if he seams desperate then girls wont take it. Cause then we feel like were just like a rebound crush or something like that. ANd my advice would be to either stop trying or stop making it look like he's trying. Cause most girls want what they can't have.

Plain and simple=( i'm a girl(unfortunately) and i like if a guy is agressive and posessive to a degree, someone that just lets me know that i'm his, so that might be what's missing=o and some girls don't like it if a guy does everything for them, some girls like to do things on their own

My friends all thought my last boyfriend was dirt. Everyone said I could do better. But still, I was with him, and I miss him now.
It's hard to find a gentleman, so we give up hope before one just happens to come along. Then we don't want to give up what we've got.

if your too gentlemenish it could possibly come of as clingy. he needs to be out there and spontanious, like mix it up suprise them, you cant justs be one thing to get a girl. there i shortened my rant, but seriously. i would be allover dane, the 6'4 tank isn't a turn off i don't think. you just got to find the medium, being forward without comming off a desperate

DON'T BE THE NICE GUY, DON'T BE A MEAN GUY, DON'T BE GANGSTER DON'T... JUST DONT! AND NEVER EVER EVER BECOME FRIENDS WITHOUT THE GIRL KNOWING THAT YOU ARE INTO HER EVERN JUST A LITTLE.
With guy's it's hard because girls are picky. If you are the nice guy, you'll finish last, it's just as bad as getting stuck in the friend zone. money means nothing but you need enough to take her out on dates every once in a while.

the girl then be up front about it, don't go for subtle but also don't be pushy, like "hey sexy" and all that just little things that are straight out 'i'm into you.' so for example... you have been talking to this girl for a while and your into her. say your just hanging out, act like a gentleman without over doing it. little touches or tucking her hair behind her ear is good but don't smother her with it or she'll get claustriphobic

Basically you HAVE TO LEARN TO READ OFF OF THE GIRL'S MOTIONS. you need to make sure that if she want's you to(or is ready for you to) take 3 steps, you TAKE three steps, if you take four, she'll get freaked, and if you take one, she'll think your not that into her. find the happy medium.

does he come off creepy? Because he seems like a sweet, confident guy thats funny and being tall is great, but does he seem weird around girls? I personally don't get why he doesn't have a girlfriend. I LOVE Dane! :D
Don't go to movies for first dates! No one talks, and its just too awkward! Dinner and bowling or laser tag or something that she's interested in. And it doesn't have to be expensive.

I know a guy like that. He was nice/ sweet but he seemed a little desperate. It would have really been an issue for me, but sometime if you don't know someone and they're over friendly saying things like "your beautiful" things get awkward. then there just silence that probably when they're like let just be friends. Don't get me wrong maybe he should just try getting a girl as a friend, maybe she'll be able to help him out. Who knows they're just some many factors i can't see. hope that helps.

well, maybe he is coming off as fake and a "player" (as everyone else has said) but maybe if he sometimes just teases a girl he really likes, (not a whole lot just to get her to notice him) well then she can see him as the nice, cute teaser kind of guy and then he can ask her out, and everything will be alright. or he might seem a little desperate or too nice, cause some girls will notice some guys that are so nice and stuff and when they go out the girls realizes they like them as a friend

Some girls want guys to be gentlemen and also kind of take control at the same time, maybe he isn't making the first move enough. Some girls could be thinking he is trying to be a player, and that is why he is so nice to everyone. Don't get me wrong, it's wonderful he is like that and he shouldn't change, but being totally honest, girls could be thinking that. Don't let Dane give up and be so sad. I know he is and he is completely right in feeling that way, but make sure he keeps trying and asking girls out. (Not a bunch. Ones he actually likes. See 'player' thing above.)

I don't think that there's anything wrong with Dane. I'd take a gentleman over a rich asshole any day. Whoever says no to a gentleman like Dane(who's quite cute too. ^^) is insane. And Dane doesn't need someone who would take a rich asshole over a nice normal person. Just tell him to stay strong and the right girl will come soon. ^_^

Personally I would choose the gentelman over any rich asshole no matter how much money they have. I don't think all girls are that shallow, and Dane isn't bad looking. Maybe there is something wrong with the girls where you live. All I could say is, is he making the first move? Because some girls are shy and won't ask for a date, or make the first indication that they like a guy. I know I'm that way. I hope he has some luck soon, hey I'd go out w/ him but, I'm in Mass., so no luck there.

I think... Well a lot of girls assume that when a guy is being a "gentleman" its an act, not real.
But I don't know Dane personally so I can't really tell you what's "wrong" with him. Most likely nothing's wrong with him.
