They actually don't really do that many covers. And what's wrong with doing covers anyway? They sound amazing and have so much more vocal talent that any other boybands like take that and boyzone. All 4 of the boys can sing and sing well, they are a vocal group and what they do is sing, not write songs. They have said themselves that they are singers, not songwriters and they don't want to waste their singing talents on songs that they have written and will admit aren't that good. I <3 Westlifex

When I'm looking at Take That,etc. those who aren't as vocally talented, but they can do really well because they got a great team (marketing, designer, visual effects...) supporting them. Westlife need to get a better supporting them behind them and find that passion that they used to have. You know, it's not just about looking good at the cameras and singing in tune...please don't take everything for granted... :)
and after their last album, they kind of lost their magic. When they are performing, they aren't as passionate and connected to the lyrics as they used to be, and we as the audience can feel the difference.
I know the lads are incredible because it is already a great achievement to survive in the industry and remain so successful for such a long time. What I'm trying to say is that I think they can do better.
I really believe in Westlife. I do think they can do much better and be even bigger than they are now. Please don't do covers anymore and destroy what you've build up in the past(e.g. reputation, fan base). I'm saying this because I remember once Westlife were everyone's favourite but now everyone is making fun of them... ...and many fans are giving up after Westlife releasing covers after covers...
