its really a shame that he gets all this gear when he needs to get better to actually deserve it. its like he gets a 3000 dollar guitar or amp when he learns a new lick or chord. i started to play after this video was made and im better than him. i work my ass of 7-12 hours a day and even through the night every other weekend. but i still have a epiphone g-400 with a peavy viper 15 watt amp. god i hate when kids get what others deserve.

i'm only 16 and i've had my share of equipment, but i bought all of it myself and the most expensive amp i've ever had is my new JCM 900 4100 which kind of shows you i'm broke.

but kids should "grow into" their equipment like DrGfromMD said. without that, they don't know what it's like to work to get stuff. it's an important life lesson that this kid just missed out on. i wish i was him tho haha.

Well he bombed the solo!! If your going to play kid, that solo has got to be smooth otherwise nobody wants to hear you chop up a legend. And please, learn some new material. Try Jimi Hendrix...and don't cut corners. Keep practicing you'll be bad ass. Oh yeah, control your feedback your too close. And when you have a 2000 dollar amp, you need to know how to equalize the amp so you can play loud and sound good. Right now, your not as good as your amp is.

Good parenting would be to allow a kid to "grow into" such equipment. I think starting off with essentially top shelf everything and spoiling him is a mistake. Spoiled children never turn out well... just my 2 cents. For his age, he isn't bad at all and I would not hate on him just because his folks spoiled him - he has no control over that at all....

I think everyone just needs to close their eyes, and listen to the song. If you forget that he has ridiculous gear for his age, and just listen to the song, its not a bad cover, besides the solo.
