Why do i have more white than red, but the start out the same size and shape??

If you say, they're the same amount from the start, then you don't have more white, it just looks that way ;)

Where can I find Polymer Clay? And could I just paint regular clay once it's hardened?

I think you can get it in craft stores or online... What i use is called fimo, and it comes in different coloures so there is no need to paint it... If you mean the clay that like made of mud, then i don't think you get the result you want from just painting it... fimo is much softer and easyer to work with,,,, don't know if this helps you :) if not, then there is many nice ladies in here that works with polymer clay and might be able to help you better :D
