I prefer this one compared to the ness one, this one is more expressive to me... Such feeling I feel through it. Awesome work from rare despite the limt of the gameboy system...
it's funny, the first time i played this level on DKL2 I nearly puked coz the music sounded so weird, but found a new love for it in screech's sprint and can now play it on the piano. At one stage I think this music made me cry coz it sounded kinda sad.
The bramble levels are a perfect set up as far as mind rape goes. They are literally a thorn in your ass, yet they are doused in this priceless, soothing, and amazing music in order to keep your sanity! ^_^
It was the first game I owned. The first game I played through without cheats or help. I felt like the King of the world afterwards and remember most of the cool levels and tracks.
I am quite shocked by this composition. I first played DKC2 as rental in 1996 and then finally beat it when I bought it at 12-years-old in 2002. This version is actually just as good as the original version. Too bad they had to mess with this composition in SSBB. Old school Donkey Kong games rule.
Overall I think I could honestly say it's the most popular song on the entire DKC2 soundtrack and I guess DKL2 =3 XD And btw I agree with you all the way. Best track in game. =D
well yea rare keep making game form nintendo remeber gameboy advance with banjo and kazzoie and viva pinata for ds i mean if they been buy by microsoft microsoft wont make then do those games
What can i say... Dave Wise is a genius.

@GreenGiantShit Actually Grant Kirkhope re-arranged all his music for this game. So yes they both are geniuses.

I used to hate this music, though it was through no fault of the music itself. It's actually quite beautiful.
The level was just frustrating sometimes XD

The good ol' "K-A" rating... It seems that it has sunk into oblivion some time ago.

It feels like there's so much emotion put into this version than in the SNES one, but I still prefer the SNES one much more.
My favorite out of them all would have to be Forest Interlude though =)
RyanDahl1080 3 years ago
Yeah you can't really compare the sound of a Gameboy to that of a SNES anyways though.

Rare was such an awesome developer. Too bad Nintendo was stupid and sold them to Microsoft...
NintendoFreak1988 3 years ago
Nintendo never sold it, Rare left Nintendo by itself because some reasons, just like Bungie left Microsoft, but Rare still makes games for Nintendo.
Wylldenick 2 years ago
Yes they did sell them. Microsoft bought 51% of Rare and Nintendo sold the 49% they had left
NintendoFreak1988 2 years ago 2
This comment has received too many negative votes show
But I told you, Rare still makes game for Nintendo.
Wylldenick 2 years ago
yeah i know, but not as much as they used to

well yea rare keep making game form nintendo remeber gameboy advance with banjo and kazzoie and viva pinata for ds i mean if they been buy by microsoft microsoft wont make then do those games

Microsoft owns Rare. Rare were able to make those handheld games because Microsoft has no handheld console of its own to compete with.
