I believe it is to prevent terran and protoss buildings to be built there

the neutral creep is there so that zerg can also defend in the choke with out having to place a hatchery there

both terran and protoss wall in/cannon up that choke its a balance for zerg that can allow offensive moves

also if the terran or protoss are so inclined they can just take out the sunken and the creep will recede to allow them to build there

The reason Yellow didn't put down a a sunken right at the start of the drone push was because Much blocked the build with probes. If you look you can see the probes hugging the drone that goes to build it.

Wasn't much Yellow could do, it was a good move by Much.
