  • @greenalink how do you get 1-3 star ranking ?

  • Comment removed

  • thanks

  • what? you've missed most of the shortcuts, been hit some times and fell down 1 time and you got 3 star rank?!? this mario kart seems too easy

  • @Michedono

I think Mario Kart 7 has a new ranking system only ranging from 1 star to 3 stars.

Lakitu warp shortcuts (Wuhu Mountain loop has a major shortcut) does affect the overall rank after you completed the cup despite having a smooth performance on the past 3 tracks.

  • 3 star ranks aren't hard if you've played Mario Kart Wii. They're almost exactly the same, except there are coins, gliding segments, and no bikes at all. :P

  • I'm pleasantly surprised how fast 50cc seems in this game. Can't wait to see 100 and 150cc.

  • Joint best Mario Kart along with MKWii :D

  • nice

  • I'm so mad, forget portables. I wanted them to bring a tetro Rainbow Road on, but not here!! Big time things like adding a retro Rainbow Road should be saved for the big releases. I also want to race on this particular one. Hopefully the next Mario Kart will either not be shitty (Mario Kart Wii) and not a portable (this). Besides, then it would have the best Rainbow Road of all time :D N64 beats all.

  • @playoffexpert1 What the hell do you mean by "big releases"? Each Mario Kart is a major release...what a stupid thing to say.

  • @mario54671 Big releases as in not on this portable bs. Really? Mario Kart Super Circuit was a "big" release. Yeah right. No, none of the Mario Kart's for portables have ever been "big" releases.

  • @playoffexpert1 Says who? You? What exactly is a "big release"? It's being released, and it's sure getting quite a bit of hype. Once again, you've failed to define that. Does it being on a portable system mean that it's automatically rejected? It's the same game but on a portable device, so you can take it anywhere. You have to understand that EVERY time a new Nintendo system comes out, they make a new Mario Kart for it. If you refuse to get a 3DS, that's fine, but you'll be missing out.

  • @mario54671 Yes, by a generation of 10 year olds. What about the real gamers from the golden era (1985-2005) and preferably earlier within that time (before 2000). Most people on the "hype" were being potty trained when that era ended. They don't know real games. I'm only missing out because they decide to base EVERYTHING on MK Wii for that online bullshit (they had TERRIBLE retro courses) but then a smaller release on a portable system has some of the best retro tracks? Come on.

  • @playoffexpert1 Yes, the newer games have taken a different direction that I don't like (More luck, less skill). Mario Kart: Double Dash and Mario Kart 64 are my favorites in the series, and it's sad that they've made the games a lot more centric on the items whereas before it was also a mastery of the controls. Mario Kart Wii's selection of retro tracks was weak, but I think they did that on purpose because this is a portable game, they want you to take the best retro tracks wherever you go.

  • @playoffexpert1 (continued) However, they DID put some nice retro courses in, but particularly from the SNES and DS games, and half the Gamecube selections (What were Peach Beach and Mario Circuit doing there??), they chose some random ones that didn't make sense. Again, in the portable iterations, they want you to take the best retro tracks with you on-the-go, so it makes sense that they put courses like Dino Dino Jungle, Koopa Troopa Beach (which was oddly renamed), and SNES Rainbow Road.

  • @mario54671 My opinion has always been the other way around. The Mario Kart release on the big system should have the best. A portable is just a time passer, that's where you put all the third party crap. You're completely right on luck vs skill, that alone drops the value of games significantly. That's what made it fun, could you take down someone who's great at the controls, not can you hope you get a spiny shell to attack the first place driver at the last second to pass him.

  • @playoffexpert1 "A portable is just a time passer" Are you kidding? What about Metroid Zero Mission, Pokemon, The Phoenix Wright series, EBA... the list just goes on and on. You couldn't be more wrong.

  • @Br0k3nL1m1ts Portables are time passers.

  • @playoffexpert1 nice comeback bro. I'm very proud of you. Now go troll somewhere else.

  • @Br0k3nL1m1ts I might, if I knew what trolling was. Sorry, it's called an opinion, but you're an 8 year old that doesn't know what that means and plays portables.

  • @playoffexpert1 you don't know what trolling is? funny, because that's all I see you doing.

  • @playoffexpert1 gotta agree with Br0k3n.. a lot of great games on portable systems. I agree games like mario kart can be considered just time passers, but there's lots of really good rpg's and such too. my favorites being zelda and fire emblem. games are games, doesn't make them less superior just because they aren't on consoles.

  • @HylianDakota All games are time-passers. You don't really accomplish anything by playing a game, or for that matter, doing much of anything. I think he/she meant to say something like "Portables are limited" or "Portables are for noobs" because the sad truth is most the stuff we do is "a time passer."

  • @playoffexpert1 DON'T YOU DARE MAKE FUN OF MARIO KART 7!!!!!!!!!

  • @shamaleon34 Shut up nerd, calm down.

  • @playoffexpert1 For me is the snes is the best i love the music theme !

  • @Sigma5656 I love that one too, but the N64 has stood the test of time the best, by far.

  • This however, is a great retro cup :) For the first time ever, we get a second Rainbow Course and the SNES one at that. Dino Dino Jungle seemed like it was never going to return, but alas, here it is :)

  • @montydog95 Super Circuit had two rainbow courses. And it was the SNES Rainbow Road (as all the SNES tracks were added as bonus tracks).

  • @mzxrules Hmm, I suppose that's right, but it was undeniably a poor remake of the track.

  • are you doing this all the up the the Mirror cups?

  • Nice recording! How you do it? Whats the secret? :D

  • lucky :o

  • Foist.

  • Yes this video also contain credits!

  • @Greenalink are you doing this all up the Mirror cups
