  • pot head voice much?

  • When using flour paste is it necessary to add in a little borax or some other material to prevent bugs from feasting on it ?

  • what kind of atlernative building method would recommend for a hot humid gulf coast structure? What about the paints i had heard that flour paints could mold here. My husband and i would like to eventaually build a passive cooled and heated home with cob, staw bale or earthbags......things are really tricky here. you are an expert what would you recommend?

  • Fascinating! Can you tell us more about how to mix and use the paint? Also, what is "no-VOC"?

  • @TheDenisedrake Good question. VOCs are Volatile Organic Compounds which are basically vapors that are off-gassed by synthetic materials like carpets, furniture and paints. When you smell that "new car smell" or fresh paint... those are VOCs you smell. Some VOCs have been linked to health problems like cancer. Every house has some, but it's more the accumulated effect people worry about. And I just posted a DIY for how to make natural paint on faircompanies (faircompanies . com under eco-DIY ).

  • @kirstendirksen Thanks! That sounds like fun to make paint.
