  • i asked a co worker why we keep the soo paint on our fleet yet and he responded its because roster numbers may be the same as other cp units and you cant have two the same for identification number and theres a lot of bureaucracy involved in changing a unit number. dont know if this is accurate or not we are just track laborers. if this is true, thank goodness for roster numbers. great video thanks

  • Up here in Toronto Canada, CP's Galt sub runs right past where I live and I still see many Soo Line locomotives used. Usually they're 2nd, 3rd or even 4th units but every now and then they're the lead unit. Long live the Soo and lets hope those Soo units keep their paint job :)

  • great video, love the soo units, hope i see one before they are repainted.

  • Excellent compilation! I really think that SOO units have the best P3s out there.

  • great complimation, fantastic video Ryan! SOO line is amazing! thanks for uploading!

  • Awesome video! I love the SOO stuff, especially those white engines with the black lettering.

  • @SignalHillProds the withe engines are called the hockey stick logo thats the paint scheme

  • Good job, nice video. Funny, as a child in Green Bay Wi we had the Chicago & Northwestern, Green Bay & Western, and Milwaukee Rd, all in Green Bay. Near my Grandparents place was a Soo mainline that I would spend hours near when we went there to visit. All 4 are now fallen flags!

  • will CP keep SOO alive still on paper, like UP kept MoPac or it will dissapear altogether..that'll be a shame if they don't...you don't see many rolling stock sporting soo line marks anymore around bensenville those days, only a 4 axle geep and if you're lucky..and old soo all steel caboose, now its mostly ex ICE and DME or many lease locos and a few big GE's...thanks for saving this shots for posterity

  • Great video! Bye Soo. :( Also, what was the engine/railraod at 10:12?

  • Great video Ryan!

  • Great video! SOO was a great railroad. I haven't shot any of CP's SOO engines left, only the CEFX ones that still say "SOO" on the side.

  • SOO line. Soon to be just more CP locomotives. I think we're all luckey that CP holded up re-painting them as long as they did.

  • Great catches as always! cheers!

  • Goodbye SOO :( WE MISS YOU

  • Nice video Ryan! I got ex-SOO 6025 as CP 6225 a few days ago departing Thunder Bay. Nice lashups!
