No, the new tv has apps like facebook twitter and blah blah blah...If you have a smartphone or a computer you dont need any of that junk...My TV just needs to display whatever I was it to brilliantly not be a web TV from the 90's

fine but its not as thin as the samsumg, and the contrast ratio is not as good as the samsung, but it less then half the pirce
