  • please can you post the whole routine

  • This is incredible. She proves that artistry and difficulty can be one in the same.

  • I used to have this clip downloaded and I watched it all the time. Friggen amazing. Go Khorkina! - Flipside ;)

  • I think it's more a pike, but still amazing for her height

  • Comment removed

  • dam i cant even do that on flat ground.... and she does it on a balance beam!!

  • where can i find the full version of this routine?

  • I bet people are watching this and are like "dang I thought it was cool when I did that OFF the beam"....

  • Haha at the end she does like a ganster posee

  • cork on the beam

  • Khork!

  • This is why she is my idol. Forever.

  • beautiful skill too bad she couldn't land it regularly

  • I knew she competed this for awhile but never knew she landed it before!

  • Amazing, I have never seen her land this in competition. She does that skill beautifully. I think the judges would give it the layout. I don't think this skill would be named after her because she never even competed it at a Worlds or Olympics. It's amazing to think someone so tall and lanky could produce such powerful gymnastics.

  • @TsubasaDreams You can perform skills at a world cup event too, right? In order to get them named after you, that is.

  • @ShawnVikaKomova2012 Nope only at a Worlds or an Olympics, and of course fil out all the necessary paperwork. Think of how Mostepanova did the Onodi but never submitted the paperwork, so Onodi got it named after her; or how Tousek did the sideways flic-flac in 1999 but Groshkova was doing it as early as 1990.

  • @TsubasaDreams Oh, thank you. I usually call the Mostepanova the "Onodi" so I don't confuse people who don't know who it should really be named after. I really liked the Tousek, so rare. Well worlds is just around the corner. We'll see what new skills will be demonstrated. Belokobylskaya and Komova are both doing a piked-stalder Shaposhnikova. Komova will have a better shot getting on the team but I feel this year could be Yulia's only year. I hope she makes it. Whoever's been doing it longer.

  • I guess it all depends on whether or not Komova is healthy and fit by Worlds. I doubt Russia will bring Komova if she can only do bars. I think Belokobylskaya has a good shot making this year's team, if both Mustafina and Komova are out. Obviously, the coaches have faith in her since they sent her to Euros, when they could've sent a others. If they both do it and submit the paperwork at Worlds, then it will be named after them both. Like how the stalder 1.5 is the Khorkina/Chow.

  • @TsubasaDreams Komova only has 4-6 more weeks off. I think she'll be ready. Aleksandrov was talking about taking Musty for just bars but that wouldn't happen either. Yeah, Yulia's been really impressive. I love her Galante! I'm really glad about how she and Dementyeva are doing. That would be nice. I sort of feel like it should be named after whoever performs it better, but I guess that's not fair to whoever did it first.

  • @ShawnVikaKomova2012 I think Worlds team, granting Komova is ready, for Russia will be Komova, Nabieva, Dementyeva, Belokobylskaya, and Afansayeva. I would love to see Pavlova make one more team but she needs to get full difficulty and then some on VT, BB, and FX.

  • @TsubasaDreams That's exactly the team I had in mind =D! I really would like to see Pavlova take Afanasyeva's spot, to be honest. It'll probably be (in order of lineup): VT- Nabieva, Afanasyeva, Komova. UB- Dementyeva/Belokobylskaya, Nabieva, Komova. BB- Belokobylskaya, Dementyeva, Komova. FX- Dementyeva, Komova, Afanasyeva. This is of course if Komova is ready. I hope Pavs is back and on the team. I was so excited when I heard she got silver at Nationals but then I saw who she was against...

  • @ShawnVikaKomova2012 Yeah, I agree with that. Have you seen Pavlova's newest routines that she debuted at a little competition? It's a little lackluster but she did the scorpion/Biellman turn she does on floor on beam. She looks okay but she definitely needs to upgrade and get her vaults back. Her floor was also kind of underwhelming...

  • @TsubasaDreams I've searched so hard but I actually haven't found anything but a beam routine which I can't find again! She did a switch leap+Yang Bo (lacking flexibility) combo. Preziosa did a single on beam and a double on floor of the Biellman, but I don't think they named either of them after her even though she submitted it in 2009. Yeah she's definately gotten a lot of her skills back. Like her DLO (right?). She'll probably upgrade vault soon. Do you mean her floor isn't as... magical?

  • Preziosa did sumbit it but they aren't named after her. The videos are posted by the user TurnFamous. On VT, she did a DTY, which looked decent. On UB, she has a bare minimum routine and she didn't do a dismount. On BB, her routine has SV of 5.7. It's pretty "basic" in comparison to what it needs to be. She also did a 2.5 dismount. On FX, she did a double pike, whip + triple, and a front full as her last pass. The routine isn't as magical. The music is blahn and the choreo could be way better

  • @TsubasaDreams I was pretty sure but I never clarified it for myself. Hmm 5.7. She could raise that to around 6.3. Hope that doesn't scare her, the 2.5. I bet her DTY is good. Bars with Pavs=Best form, just not hard. Yeah, I really liked her Exodus music in 08. Cheng is doing a double pike and triple twist... I forget what else though. But whip+triple is of .7 if the whip is in the top 8! I bet her choreo could be better but I'm sure she's just testing the waters and trying to regain her skills.

  • @ShawnVikaKomova2012 If she brought back the switch ring and did the triple twist, she would have a 6.1. I think if she could put back her Onodi and connect it to the side somi and connect that to the Kolesnikova then she could have a great beam. Cheng looks good but I wonder if she can still do her Cheng and an Amanar. I think the Chinese team really needs her, right now. They need a good leg gymnast whose consistent.

  • @TsubasaDreams I really loved that 04 connection. She doesn't seem as flexible which is crazy because she had the best switch ring ever in 08! I think Cheng won't have a problem with the Cheng because her Lopez looks really easy. However, the DTYs that I've seen from her seem to be a bit of a struggle which is also crazy because no one ever second-guessed if her Amanars were fully rotated. In 2010, I really saw a lack of leadership. Cheng was great like that. I wonder if she would ever coach.

  • UGH WOW. she's amazing!!!

is this named after her?? i think she was able to do in laid out but for some reason couldn't land it. i think she had to pike down though because she was about to go off the beam.

part of me thinks khorkina woudl have thrown some crazy skills if she was a bit shorter. her height was a blessing and a curse.

  • @Selecious indeed she would have blown us away!

  • She competed this at 2001 goodwill games - FELL

    1995 Euro Cup - FELL

    But it was always gorgeous.

  • Wow, I never knew she competed that. Too bad it was piked down at the end. Did she get it named after her? Has anyone else ever competed it?

  • WOW! when did she compete that??? and why did she stop???

  • probably couldn't land it consistently

    this was 1995

  • @ItsNastiaFan101 This is from the 1995 Chunichi Cup

  • @ItsNastiaFan101 Which competition is this in?
