I wonder what Hoyt Axton, the writer, thought of their take on "Joy to the World". He didn't like Three Dog Night's version...at least until it spent 6 weeks at #1 on the pop charts and sold 2 million copies. Or Mason Williams on a REALLY classical "Classical Gas"
I don't believe this actually exists...I collect old TV commercials, and I have a promo for this, when it aired on ABC under the umbrella of "The Monday Night Special".
too bad Yma sumac is not mentionned in the final presentation it was a very unusal performance for her and Cyd Charisse is as wonderful and gracious than ever thank
How were you able to upload this? YouTube revoked no-limit uploads after a very short time, and reinstated the 15-minute limit.
Either way, wonderful Krofft fun, and it's interesting to see that they executive produced this early in their career, though Si Rose was still involved.
@GroverKent If you've had an account for quite a while and haven't had a complaint (which I haven't -- and hope not to, knock-wood, since everything I've uploaded is old and obscure), then there's no length restrictions. New accounts and people who've had complaints filed against them are still limited to 15 mins. I was leery of porting this over, but my old copy was on Google Video, which was supposed to have been shut down already.
@VinnieRattolle Well, that's a bit of a slap in the face... I've had mine for a long time, with no complaints, and I was back under the 15-minute limit within a month. :| Oh well, thanks for sharing this.
