Good interpretation . Sense of timing is excellent. Heard this lovely music interpreted by many musicians.
Recording here is difficult because of the noisy background where many people were talking and some traffic noise. It will be ideal if a post of her playing the same is made in a sound studio.
I wonder if there are CD of her that I can buy. You advice will be appreciated.
Pretty impressive for someone performing solo. My school performed this piece as well, but they had to have 3 people to perform it. It isn't an exactly easy piece to play, and to pull it off alone sounding just as good as people, I think it's commendable.
thank you for your beautiful performance. i really appreciate how many expressions of the melody you gave; how many moods are expressed. and as an amateur musician myself, i am inspired by how you stayed focused and gave the music your best, despite a lot of background noise! Courageous and wonderful!
Good to see that some people enjoy an instrument such as this. It seems as time passes on generations float further and further away from an appreciation of a variety of music...rather than just mainstream.
I disagree. Are you speaking of a specific location spatially (i.e. where you live) or temporally (i.e. period in time)?
A couple hundred years back, people could only hear a small subset of today's music.... and being without any recording it was not as available as it is today (and increasingly so with respect to the progression of time).
Even for the last couple generations there has been an increase in availability and popularity (i.e.people appreciating) of a wide variety of music. In Elvas's day, they did not have the variety of radio stations (even if you still consider it few) as they have today. Online there are internet radio stations that are accessed across the world from 50+ distinct genres, many of these being from the vastly diverse genre: Electronica.
Wow...I am so weak compared to you. Seriously flawless. Nice visualizations. I shall try harder in hope one day that I will reach a level of playing that I am proud of.
Hi Beibei Teacher I am your New Student I Dont Wanna say my Name here but you Know who I am. I like this Music from you its sounds really nice but I can hardly see you from this Video but its OK I see you In person is Much better every Week. You are very Pretty in Person :)
I play the Guzheng as well. Currently, my troupe and I have to learn that song and it's quite difficult to master the emotions. But your emotions and song tune blends well (:
If you check forums and stuff, you can find out what everything means, so if you wanna know something and fast, check forums about it...on various sites, various answers are given, but all can be translated into fact when in the right state of mind, which is where your music puts me XD
OMG~ 怎麼可以這麼好聽~~~~ T^T

Very nice solo. I've never seen this piece done solo on a guzheng before. With practice, you could be the next Wang Chang Yuan! (王昌元)

Bei Bei, is Gu Zheng a hard instrument to learn? I know it is hard to get as skillful as you but are the basics of Gu Zheng hard to learn?
therealkingfuse 4 years ago 2

i agree with wishchrono, we are playing this piece in orchestra, and that is what I immediately thought of!

I agree with wishchrono too~
The moment i heard "When you believe", i knew it was from some of the chinese orchestra classic song~
=D
pika8387 4 years ago
i think Stephen Schwartz borrowed some parts from this traditional chinese music for "When you believe" in "The prince of egypt".
Splendid performance, splendid composition!
