@cfazekas0441 Thanks for the kind comment. I made the banjo - check out my other video 'Mountain Minstrel' Fretless Banjo for a more detailed look at it. Best wishes, John
Hey, I am too curious as to how you have your pot set up. I am familiar with the classic mountain style pot assembly but yours is A LOT nicer. Would you be so kind as to share how you made it? This is a beautiful instrument. I love its look and sound.
@flarzooski Thanks. I have another vid called 'Mountain Minstrel' Fretless Banjo which shows it in more detail and has a description of the pot in the info. The key to it is to make a pot assembly which is self-contained and simply drops into the banjo body (it's kept in place through a combination of snug fit and the tension of the strings/bridge pushing against it). The banjo body has a thick inner rim connecting neck and tail block, then a void, then an outer 'skin' built more like a guitar.
great sounding banjo mate must build myself one whats the scale length if you dont mind me asking

Sounds great; What tuning are you using for this song?

Thanks, just sawmill, although this banjo has a short scalelength so it's effectively the same as a regular banjo capo'd at the second fret: EADEa
