What a beautiful surprise, Ralfy! A mesmerizing scene (I'm now a mesmerized malt-mate) and he music is just a balm for the soul. Went together beautifully. I was wondering if there would be any whisky in the presentation, so at the end I found myself laughing and smiling at the lovely Bruichladdich in the stream. Brilliant and fun! Nevertheless he's such a lively guy, with ironical sense of humour, and passion for sharing his knowledge about the spirits world, so tastes and aromas and so on.....many things that concern the act of enjoying life through our senses. Maybe, working everyday with "the idea of the inevitability of death" forged his charachter. Or maybe he's always been just like that. Anyway, none of us could be sufficiently thankful for his "work" of spirits-education, I guess.

My experience of whiskey has been: Ardbeg, Laphroaig, Glenfiddich, and my favourite so far is Caol Ila 12 from 2008. I also have a Talisker "57 degrees north" which I have trouble with.

I wanted to try an unpeated (or almost so), totally natural artisan malt but not too sweet. We don't get Laddie 10, but we do get Laddie classic and organic, we get Aberlour a'bunadh, Old Puteney, Glenfarclas, Balvenie 15, and Ben Nevis signatory. What would you recommend?
