They play 2 totally different styles, there's no comparison between Kerry King and Yngwie Malmsteen. And it isnt needed anyway, who cares if there's somebody better than the guy i'm listening to, as long as I can "feel" something while I'm listening at him that's fair enough.

And by the way, you may like both styles or not,but your TASTE doesnt actually make somebody "Good", "Bad", "Better" or "Worse" when you're talking about Skill.

What makes guitarists like EVH, Malmsteen, Satriani, and Vai so wonderful is not technique, which anyone can master, but their ability to tastefully compose. And you don't have to be some aging blues rocker to have 'taste'. Good examples are Jason Becker, Christian Muenzner, and Jeff Loomis.

My guess...in another room/backstage - with a mic. Or he is using a preamp only (unlikely for Yngwie). Due to the acoustics of a concert hall like that, if you were to crank a stack up enough to reach the harmonic complexity and breakup of his sound, the stack would overpower the whole orchestra.
