I haven't used it myself, but I've heard of others using it with different programs

@IIxPstylesxII it comes with loaded presets for live but im sure you can load it into other programs but you'd have to do it all yourself

@IIxPstylesxII nope, I use it as a sequencer for sonar, but I really like the interaction of it for ableton, simplifies my life when performing, and it looks awesome if you know what you are doing :D
