Hey, great models. What kind of model do you start off with? Is there some brand/manufacturer you would recommend. booth for building youself and ready-made ones.
Great job on the models. I have just downloaded a few videos of models I have completed as well. Out of interest, do you use acrylic paints to do washes over to get dirt and wear and tear into all the joints. Really good effort, glad I have found your video and will favourite it! TTFN.
Yeah I use a very thin black or rust wash from acrylics. I cover the entire piece in the wash and let stand a few minutes to set up, then wipe almost all of it off. Then I dry brush from darkest to lightest usually ending up with bright white for the highlights.
Actually they are mostly the vintage models and all were glued, painted and weatherd. The Falcon took a lot of work using pieces from 5 different ship models. I'd like to see your end efforts!!!
many of these are just "click "n" snaps", with no glue needed, you just click the peaces together, takes about 15 minutes. I have the advanced tiefighter and the atst. built them fom my kid, so what is the big deal?
In commemoration of the 30th anniversary of the Star Wars franchise a rocketeer named Andy Woerner, with the help of his rocketry club members, has built a 21 foot long replica of the X-Wing Fighter that will actually fly on four rocket motors in the scale engine locations. For more info go to plasterblaster do/t com.
Nice man , maybe ill put some of mine up too, have a habit of adding things to them. Like a good "blast mark" trick is unroll a old fire cracker and use some of the inside on the model and light it (small amount work best). Leave great lookin blast divits.

No, most are the AMT glue kits. Vader's TIE and the Droids are the original glue kits from the 70's.

As far as star wars models, probably the least complicated was snowspeeder and At-St. Ebay has them pretty cheap.
