But i never knew setting/wraping lotion was needed to activate the gel, and the technique you can do to get rid of the crunch. Also so much information that i learned, its amazing. Would you recommend the use of setting lotion to style coarse African American hair textures. I have combination hair, the front is nice and straight but the full back part of my head is filled with tight coils that are unbearable to comb or anything. hey shira, after watchin ur hair tutorials & others i refuse to just wet my hair & throw gel on it. im puerto rican/dominican w/ really curly hair i'd say 3C. as a kid my mom relaxed my hair (dominican stylist said itd be best) & since my natural curls never came back. ive stop'd relaxn for 3yrs now, my curls are back no need to scrunch like b4. now im just lookn for healthy products to use that can hold my curl thru the day w/out that crunchy feel. lastly is it bad (unhealthy) to diffuse hair?

Shira I have to say that I watched this video a long time ago, maybe late last summer. I always wanted to try it but I was scared it wouldnt work and I would get stuck with big, frizzy, poodle hair. Last Sunday I got caught in the rain and my blowout was ruined. I decided it was the perfect time to try natural curls. IT WAS WONDERFUL!!! what u need in ur makeup box? that depends on u....at least a flat shader, blending, and pencil brush, and 3 eyeshadows that match the shade gradients of your eyelid, as well as a good primer

well, it depends...some hairs are tighter curls than others', so yeah, in that case, it would be straightER but not totally straight it depends on your hair, but there are many methods of straightening, that's just a non-heat related one...also, sure use whatever you want, but rat tail combs are so finely toothed, that sometimes they can more easily pull your hair out...AND they will make your curls EVEN TIGHTER, not STRAIGHTER, because the fine teeth separate more hair strands...thanx!
