  • thats a lot of trap doors they have

  • Does anyone know where to see the rest of this. like seeing the other musicals that year.

  • I wanna See how tha Giraffe costume works, It looks difficult lol

  • DUDE! .......WHAT THE FUCK!! 2:20

  • music at 3.40 send chills down my spine

  • i love this musical i would kill to see it again, it was stunning just the costumes the acting and everything, its giving me cold chills thinking about it. saw it 2007 =D

  • one word.... AMAZING!

  • GENIUS

  • Best musical ever. The entire theater was crying by the end, it was beautiful.

  • I still cry when I see the opening, and it's been nearly 8 years since I've seen it live.

  • anyone know how to get this broadway show on tape?? and i do not mean the movie...

  • i believe you can get it on disney's site... don't know the exact site you can google it as the lion king on broadway i did it last night and remember seeing the option of purchasing the broadway

  • This was the best thing i have ever seen in my life. I sat on the edge and nearly had a heartattack when the elephant came down the aisle

  • LEBO M is a GENIUS!!!!

  • Nice

  • i want to see it live.

  • I saw it live and it was one of the best things I have ever seen!!!!

The scenery, the songs they were all beautiful

  • absolute genius.

  • I would love to be in this play. I've seen it twice and it's stunning.

I'm working on a musical of my own and would love to have Julie Taymor direct it. Anyone have an address where I could write to her? Thanks.

  • best for you to try to see if you could work as an intern for her. not the other way round. ^^

  • I cried when Mufasa died on stage and in the Circle of Life

  • what circle of life scene?

  • Don't worry, I cried at Mufasa's death for the first time when I saw it live. And.. I cry all throughout Circle of Life. From the opening chants to the ending bang.

  • The stampede is such a rush of a scene. The first time I saw the show I had already seen this video, and even though I was aware of how the stampede was done, the instant the back roller of wildebeest heads started to roll I almost had a heart attack. So scary and thrilling and exciting!

  • I love Mufasa's mask!!!

  • Wow!

  • It can't take too much because there are so many quichchanges it's not funny.:P It's one large ensemble changing from plants, to hyenas, to lionesses, to other animals. I'm almost afraid to be back there because I'm sure you'd be csught in a stampede..LOL..

  • It must take a lot time to put on those costumes

  • When they've been asked in interviews and such there seems to be a general consensus among the actors that it takes roughly 30 minutes to get in and out of most of the costumes.

  • does anyone have the entire play?

  • musical not play

  • gah how much do those head pieces weigh???

  • Mufasa's mask weighs 11 ounces and scar's mask weigh 9 ounces.

  • really? i thought they weighed like several pounds!!

  • They look immense (especially Mufasa's) but yes, as Bradley pointed out they're very light weight. They'd have to be.

  • I saw this show in New-York on Broadway, itis an unforgettable experience, it is fabulous! totally different from what we are used to see

    Doublechatnoir

  • I want to be in this so bad, but I don't think I could because I'm white.

  • Scar was White

  • He was?

    Awesome.

I'm not trying to be racist, I just thought that it was a show that they really only wanted African-American people to be in. Like "The Wiz".

  • Theatre in general is racist/ Trust me on this, I'm black. That's why i have a hard time in my high school theatre. When I saw Mary poppins in New York, there were no black people. When I saw Two trains running, there were no white people. Just get in where you fit in.

  • That sucks.

I mean, really. Because I know lots of very talented black people. Even more talented that I am.

  • Timon was white, Pumbaa was white, Ed was white...some of the ensemble were white.

  • thanks whitey! i only said scar because it was such a huge and major role!

  • well...Timon and Pumbaa are big roles as well, but I wanna play scar one day lol

  • i wish my high school would do this play! It seems possible, yet expensive. If not, then Les miz.

  • it would be hard to do...just getting the costumes would be brutal lol, but les miz can be simplified enough that it's not too hard to do
